Really don't want to read through this thread. Will just say the logo is good enough for me and that I wish the hockey coaches/team would step up and be leaders with this. They get behind it and others will follow. If they want to see what a leader looks like in this situation the can walk over to memorial stadium and find a bunch of them.
This logo won't look good at all on the front of a hockey jersey. I hope they use this as a shoulder patch only, and keep North Dakota on the front.

Can't tell for sure if it's ND or VD.
That was my thought too.

My guess:
Ausmus (C)
Poolman (A)
Simonson (A)
Boeser (A)
Wolanin (A)

Absolutely fantastic piece. Read it multiple times. So many great nuggets of interest to someone who enjoys learning "the rest of the story" besides just what happens on the ice.
Farce Poobah mentioned the Gasparini bit as his favorite. I probably have too many to mention, but little tidbits like how Cam Johnson's feeling on the red carpet, or how he was nervous for the first game but not the 2nd.....Sanderson and Chyzyk jumping in a random car to grab a bit to eat, Berry calling Hak first thing back in his room, the bit about the AC for the locker room, etc.
And hats off for a tight beginning and ending to the story. The ending just blew me away.
My favorite part was Cam's confidence in the title game. When Brock scored the shorty, and he knew there was no way he was giving up 2 goals that night.

I'm going to get hit for this but I honestly wouldv rather seen LaDue go then Stecher. I didn't really see anything different between LaDue and the other defenceman not counting Wolanin and Shaw. I thought Stecher stood out the most this year by far
Two completely different types of defensemen. I disagree about LaDue being just like the other D-men. I thought that he looked NHL-ready all season. I wondered if there might be a chance he came back for an opportunity to start his NHL career on his own terms. It would be incredible to have him back for a run at #9!

Hoping to make it to the Ralph to watch Jost and team USA. I have to imagine there's a good chance of a USA-Canada matchup sometime next week?

UNH gets a commitment from 16-year old Angus Crookshank from British Columbia.
I have no knowledge if he was ever on UND's radar. I just like saying Angus Crookshank.

The only sustained pressure they could muster for the most part was on the powerplays. Sure they hit 2 or 3 posts but we did too. Could we have lost? Sure(See: 2011 Michigan game) but we were absolutely the best team in the country this year and had some stone cold finishers to make sure we didn't.
They had the last change, which meant they could match up however they wanted against the CBS line. It looked like men amongst boys every time that line was on the ice.

Saw a post on Twitter that Sam Anas is close to signing with the Minnesota Wild.

4-2 UND. Boeser (×2), Gersich, Poganski.

I was at a game a few years ago in Colorado Springs where the Sioux scored on their own net after pulling the goalie on a delayed penalty. Anybody else remember that?

Sold some of them. Kept 2 for myself!

For those looking to get tickets on the street, I'd be very surprised if you can't get good tickets for any game at or below face value. Last year in Boston, tickets for the championship game were going well above face value, but you had two local teams in the title game. You won't have that scenario this year. Wait until 20-30 minutes before game time and you should get a deal.

Staying at the Residence Inn by the airport. Uber shows estimated fees of $8-11 to the arena from that area. Definitely how we will travel back & forth.

Connor, Demko, & Vesey named Hobey Hat Trick finalists.

Michigan State junior forward MacKenzie MacEachern will forgo his final year of college eligibility to sign with the St. Louis Blues.
