Very good, in-depth article about the selection process:
It sounds like Oshie was the final selection at forward.

Mr Dahl,
First, thanks for your work in this. It is much appreciated.
Second, while I have not gotten my own files up to spec, I have one question (so far) on yours. It appears that for tie games, you award 0.4 wins to the home team and 0.6 wins to the away team. This might be correct, but I don't recall seeing an article on that. If it is correct, can you point me to a source for it?
Thanks,
Ryan

Anybody know what we can expect out of the Canadian universities? Are they AHA level? Better? Worse?
Simon Fraser lost exhibition games a couple weeks ago to Holy Cross 7-3 and to Sacred Heart 3-0.
UBC lost to Anchorage 2-1 and to Alaska-Fairbanks 8-1.

Put me in the camp of being happier with my coverage this season. Last year, when I couldn't make it to the home games, I was stuck watching the crappy, grainy low-definition feed being aired on Directv through the FCS channel. This season, I'm watching the HD webcast on my tablet through my TV, and couldn't be happier with the quality.

Sacred Heart holds on to beat Lowell 2-1.
Mankato loses to Providence College and sad-sack Northeastern puts 9 up on Alabama-Huntsville. Ouch.
Kevin Roy with a hat trick in that Northeastern game. I haven't seen him on any Hobey or All-American watch lists, but I think he will be one of the best players in the country this year.

Friday tickets are gone also.

Saturday tickets are sold. Friday are still available.

My feed could not have been any better. I watched it on my tablet with no issues whatsoever, and the picture was incredible.

Unless the teams both end up as the same seed in the pairwise, they'll play each other at the XCEL Center in March at the West Regionals.

I like Simpson for Captain. If that's the case
I give the A s to...
Parks and Rocco
I'll go with Simpson for captain. Rodwell & Rocco with the A's.

Per twitter, Avery Peterson (Grand Rapids HS) committed to Nebraska-Omaha for 2014

Was really hoping to see this kid play for UND.

One last question...anyone on here pick up that Finley gamer on ebay that ended a couple days ago? I was sleeping on that one...
How much did it end up going for?

Onto the topic of shipping and handling...who was my contact in Fargo willing to take care of picking up and distributing hats in that area? Was it you, fargosioux?
Wasn't me, but if the other poster doesn't step up, let me know and I'll try to help out.

Yup, thats where I got my start at. Loved visiting that site.

So you're saying that they're a safe bet for the NCAA tournament when the selection show announces this year's pairings later today?
Exactly. And North Dakota is expected to be sent to Manchester as a 3 seed with New Hampshire and Mass-Lowell.
