OK Mrs. Osterholm

Nope. This country has never been taken down a rabbit hole like this before. Watch all the lemmings in MN line up for another 6 week lockdown....protests, looting, riotong and thuggery excluded.
-
Per the Strib Osterholm pitching another 6 week lockdown/sat at home order for MN. This clown is worse than Fauci.

You mean this series or the last 4 years?

MVFC won't play this fall per Forum media

In the Minnesota Department of Health preeser this afternoon they singled out these activities as the main reasons for community spread this summer...."church events, sporting events, family gatherings, parties, concerts and weddings". Can any other rational person see where this is headed? Walz no doubt is sporting a chubby at the thought of locking the state down again. I also noticed the absence of a few other activities from the summer..........how convenient.

Again.....what is the end game you are personally looking for? Is it in deaths? In positive cases? It's simple questions. If it's a mask mandate than you are even more clueless on this subject than I thought. Masks....they help. Not a cure. A vaccine.....it will help. Not a cure. There is not a cure......but most of us would prefer to get on living.
-
So what are you personally looking for moving forward? No deaths? No positve cases? What would appease you? A majority of the population has no intent on getting the vaccine when its available. Do we still limit kids in school? Do we shut off water and utilities for a birthday party of 10 or more? Do we still have lockdowns in areas where a vast majority didn't get vaccinated? When do we as a country get out of this rabbit hole?
-
SMH........ What don't you get??? A vaccine isn't a cure. Eradication won't happen with this virus most likely. 1% of all cases/ infections worldwide are classified as critical/serious. At some point even with a vaccine we have to get back to living.......this isn't going away and not everyone is going to die from it.
-
Yet this is now where the goalpost have now moved to nationwide. Locally the Minnesota Department Health in its initial response to the virus was looking at three things in making public health decisions for the state...….not overwhelming hospitals (never happened), see a steady decrease in death totals (happening) and wanting to see a rolling positivity rate of 15% or lower (happening). Now the shift in policy is needing to see a rolling positivity rate of less the 5% to make public health decisions since the two major issues: deaths and hospitalizations never materialized.
-
The key stat in all of this is the fact that in this country 2% of the population (85 years and older) accounts for 32+% of Covid deaths...…...but we all should be happy the unemployment rate just dropped to 10.2 %.
-
Of the roughly 6.2M individuals currently "infected" worldwide 1% are classified to be in serious or critical condition. 99% are in mild condition or asymptotic.

He's a f-n clown.
-
That's not an answer. What does "no chance" mean if it was taken out of context? And "see what happens"? You not being a complete ass clown??
-
Just curious...…...in your warped world what percentage do you assign to "no chance"? What you posted doesn't provide any different context. Spin it how you want.....like you usually do.
-
Right......and this is the same doctor and "expert" that said on January 23 about lockdowns in the US: "...there is no chance in the world we could do that to Chicago or to New York or to San Francisco." But at least he got the mask thing right from day 1.......... #hero

Then you watch too much CNN. There are two paths to herd immunity with coronavirus......infection and vaccines. Roughly 70% of US population (200M+) would need to recover from the virus for herd immunity. Unlikely. A vaccine with good efficacy is the ideal approach to herd immunity. Eradication, like influenza, isn't likely feasible.

Light at the end of that tunnel unfortunately keeps getting dimmer. -
Watch MN HS FB and/or VB. Oh wait.......nevermind.

Gallup polls yesterday.......81% of blacks favor police presence in their neighborhoods at current or increased levels.
-
Well if the possibility is still having 75% of the population at risk after a vaccine comes out that's obviously not going to be the end game for the "experts". The goalposts will get moved again if that happens. A vaccine won't be the end game for our wise "leaders" either. I guess masks forever? They are proven to work...right? Lockdowns? Shutting off water and utilities to those who don't comply with gathering "laws"? No more face to face schooling. No sports/athletics of any kind. No gardening or home improvement projects. No in person church services. All gyms will be closed for good. Protesting and riots will still be ok though......as will weekend gun violence and homocides. 10M deaths? Goodness. Are you a distant cousin to Walz? Hopefully Hugo's can deliver groceries to your home so you and your family never have to leave the house again. To answer your question.....once a vaccine come out, regardless of its efficacy, that has to be the end game. Normalcy has to resume at that point.
