Phil will do well given this opportunity to lead the team between the pipes. I agree that Grieco will get some starts as well to give him some WCHA experience. I think he will do fine. But Lammy will be the man. Our defense should be rock solid this year. They will be a strong d-corps. I agree that our offense will score plenty of goals to compete. Having two lines with the caliber of player like Toews and Oshie will be huge. Teams won't be able to focus on just one line. We should have a very good shot at the MacNaughton, as well as the title. Can't wait for the season to begin.

If I'm not mistaken, Miller was injured for a bit last season. So hopefully a healthy Miller can produce on the 3rd/4th line if given the chance.

I agree that if Kelly has a good year in the BCHL that he may come in for 07 instead of 08. Is Kelly supposed to be more like Darcy (grinder) or Travis (finesse) in playing style?

Agreed. Players like Zajac, VandeVelde, Genoway, and Bishop could be key players for the Sioux in their jr/sr seasons. I'm not sure about Forney. If he has as much upside as some people say, he might be only a 2 or 3 year player. Either way, like you said, a very good class despite lack of 'star power'.

Ooh, yeah, I'm an idiot. Forgot all about Johnson, as I was just trying to think of the incoming forwards. UMN might have the best two frosh in the league next year with Johnson and Okposo. Fortunately for us Sioux fans, those 2 players will only play a combined 2 or 3 years in college. I am looking forward to our incoming recruiting class though. A lot of players that could be impact players for 3 or 4 years for the Sioux.

I agree on both of these points. Okposo is going to be a force. I can't think of anyone right now that will really challenge him for WCHA ROTY, unless we get a surprise candidate emerging (like Oshie last year). I see Goligoski as being more offensive than Lee, but I also see Brian making big strides from last season as he will be more confident with the puck (and on the defensive side as well).

It'd be nice to add Bloodoff and/or Nash to our 07 recruiting class.

They only lost Smaby from their top 6 dman rotation, and Lee, Chorney, Jones, and Finley are all poised to have good soph seasons. Radke could be the leader for the d-corps. Plus Bina returns and they add Genoway. IMO defense will be the strong point of this team.

That sucks, I would have loved to see him in a Sioux uni. Any word on what David Toews will do? Will he follow Tessier to MJ, or could we possibly get him to play for UND?

That sucks...he would have been a great pickup for the Sioux.

I could see him wearing an A this year, but not the C. Now, if he stuck around another year...then maybe.

Very good news if true! Having both Oshie and Toews back will be huge. If they both return, the Sioux will have two of the best forwards in the nation.

Agreed. I was hoping that we would get Wilson when I heard that UND was in the running for him. That's too bad. Vegas- Has UND expressed interest in Gregoire, or vice versa?
