I like Dane and hope he succeeds. It wouldn't have been my first choice to take over the program, but I think he aligns with Hak heavily and not so much Brad...which is a good thing and why he subtly back-handed Brad throughout the presser. That doesn't mean he will accomplish what either have, so he has his work cut out for him.
The thing I don't like is, I'm struggling to find a fitting meme to post after his first loss in the Fire Dane thread.

1) Jack's is the best frozen pizza brand for the money. 2) Jackson should almost certainly be fired if he doesn't win every game, otherwise what are we doing here?

This is where our leadership utterly failed UND and the hockey program. We shouldn't be in the position of failing because of these things, UND should have been primed to take advantage of them and assert dominance even further. Strong and powerful programs reap the rewards of such programs, not succumb to them. They are "rich get richer" schemes unless you've been run on a house of cards and fraudsters playing games of smoke and mirrors. No one should spend a dime on tickets or merch or anything at UND at this point. It's utterly shocking how far things have fallen.

It's not like there are 2 papers and a dozen reporters covering the team. UND sports reporting is critical to the health of the Herald. A healthy newspaper is a big deal for a community.
I wouldn't think it would go over well in the newsroom if the Herald pissed off UND or a coaching staff unless it was really important information.
What do you mean? It's not just Brad, Goon is also on the beat!
