Wow, that's quite the jump. When I looked on Tuesday the cheapest was $272...last night $722

If anyone is still looking, I just booked a flight using Google flights. Msp to Tpa...getting there at 2pm Thursday and getting back Monday at 1pm. Just over $500 total. Everything on kayak shot up a couple hundred bucks today.

Any reason to think plane tickets might get cheaper next week? I just looked at tickets for this weekend and it's non stop both ways for $613

Where are the loners staying? I get a Hilton hotel employee rate, but not surprisingly my $29/ night rate doesn't seem to be available next thursday thru sunday What's the consensus. ..a lot of people skipping the early game?

This is for sure. I was ready to pull the trigger on Philly, but I wasn't quite healed up enough from hernia surgery to take on the trip. With a little under a sec left in that semifinal...I sure was glad that I didn't suffer through the pain just to feel the new pain in person.
