That's my bad. I watched until 3-0, then turned it off. Read it was 3-2, flipped it back on, 10 secs later it's a shorty

BLASPHEMY! Colton is a god in the bubble hockey world.
Rumor has it that he was in the stands due to a wrist injury. I feel that will hinder his bubble game.

truth is that I wouldn’t bet the farm that we would beat them if we played them again.
same as I wouldn’t bet the farm that we couldn’t beat the number one team in the country.
Such is the parity in college hockey these days
Not sure that I would call UND losing to Canisius, parity...more like pathetic.

I guess if you can't beat the Griffins, you might as well get a Griffin.

I was super excited about Bowen after his Freshman year. Then the injury bug got him last year and he just hasn't been the same player. I thought 15-20 goals this year was possible for him. Now it's likely he may not get to 10 total points by the end of the year.
A good question a buddy of mine asked the other day was: If Poolman leaves, who is the captain next year?
Your guess is better than mine.
I was willing to die on the hill fighting for Bowen's 15 goal sophmore campaign. Didn't work out well.

I’d rather see Keane in the lineup over Bowen and Yon. Those two will be seniors next year and have shown little to no improvement since they were freshmen. They’ll be gone in a year, so I’d rather think what will be more beneficial long term.
I don’t think Bowen is an awful penalty killer, actually think he’s pretty decent, but if he’s always in the box it doesn’t do us any good. Would like to see the penalties decrease, (and not just for him, seems like it’s always the same guys taking the dump penalty) goes without saying...
To be fair, on 33% of his penalties, he doesn't go to the box

Which I don’t see happening. Berry loves upperclassmen.
Agreed. If he wasn't willing cut dead weight for Donovan, not sure why he would be interested in doing so now. Although, I do think there is a little more to that story.

All I know is when things started getting scruffy late Saturday against St. Cloud I couldn't find the big peacemaker* defenseman in green to step in.
No Finley, no Blood, no Commodore, no ...
The closest we have right now is Peski. And the closest we have to a Prpich is ma-a-a-ybe Cole Smith.
*Or should that be spelled 'piece maker'.
No Lammy, Pattyn, Kaip...

UND at least earns a tie if those two played last night.
It's on Berry for having Jost in street clothes watching.

Yup.......that's typically the case or excuse, depending on one's angle, for any UND loss when our shooting % hovers around 7-9%.
No doubt that UND wins if Jost were playing...I mean, Poolman

Another loss, and more talk of puck luck?
At some point, everyone will have to accept what this team is.

No, not according to UND media, Fargo Herald hockey writer, and radio voice...22 SOG for naught is better than just 7 SOG w 2 g.
Some teams have all the puck luck

Depends if one is looking for an actual victory or a moral victory.
Will a moral victory help the value of regional tickets?

Is 2g on 7 shots better than 0g on 22 shots?

Both wrong. I'll try again. Lukesavitches....?
Wife says I'm wrong again....
Lukosevicius? I'm at least really close. I used to look up his stats every time he'd scored a big goal so I've seen it a lot.

Love The Fighting Sioux, always have, always will, but sorry - I'm afraid the reality is Canisius didn't beat us; WE beat us. St. Cloud is a team that doesn't beat itself.
How dare you, sir! The Griffs force fed UND those puck shaped L's so badly that I heard the boys won't go anywhere near a parking garage!

Berry has done as well as anyone could ask, when you have unexpected departures like Jost, Boeser, Schmaltz, Jewels, Stecher, and the list goes on.
If these kids would stay 4 or 5 yrs, then we would be right there with SCSU and UMD.

According to some on this board, none of this would have happened if Jost had just stayed an extra year.
Wait...that's false??
