But it was a nice parking garage. Seriously folks, this too shall pass. The most important thing is that look at the recruits coming, next year 3 solid scorers. Jesus, should we blame Jost and Boeser?

UND is where "solid scorers" come to die. Remember Chris Wilkie treating the USHL like a playground?

Wisconsin was way off course when Eaves. We're not that far off, IMO.

I truly think the next two seasons are going to "reverse course" to continue with ship analogy :)

I sure hope you're right, because if you're not...and this team misses 4 yrs in a row, it's really going to get ugly.

I just don't think they would pull the trigger after next year.  I think he has two years to right the ship.

It feels like "righting the ship" only applies to taking over a team in a bad spot and then getting them back on track.

Shouldn't the leash be shorter, when you're the captain who has steered the luxury cruise ship way off course?

Greenway Raider and MN State Tourney Star Casadonte (Donte) Lawson Commits to BSU. Anyone know if we had talked to him? Announced it on his Twitter.

I talked to him...does that count?  Everything that I posted about him coming to UND, he liked.

BSU makes sense with Serratore being a Greenway guy.

I'll give you 2 tickets and you can help fill sandbags in the FM when you're not watching hockey.

I might be interested in this offer...if I don't have to take the tickets.

not sure why this is stated as a fact, if I was JBD or ottawa I would be considering things, same with mismash, adams, and tyonchuik.....   those boys want to be in the show and player development is the key, culture only counts if it works....

Agreed. The boys used to make pacts because they wanted to come back for that elusive natty. Probably not a conversation taking place on campus now.

I can't bet cash anymore.   I am a beat up gambler long on the mend.   However,  I always propose a standard wager  that well backs most people down.

How about if I win,  you drop everything in your life and follow me.   You win,  I'll give you a solid shout out on your favorite platform.

Deal?   Enjoy the rest of the season Franchise.

Lawson played Sioux hockey this weekend.  Throw in that Herb Brooks award.  Bubbs should pay the kid a visit.

Exactly what I tweeted to Berry. Kid has so much heart. Made the day trip down for the semi's and was so glad that I did. Grew up attending Greenway games when Gino Guyer was the star. Pretty awesome to see them take 2nd, with 10 skaters. After being so close to the program shutting down, it's quite the story.

Boy, did that kid have himself a game last night, eh?  SCSU and UMD have both been in contact with him.  If Berry hasn't picked up the phone yet and given this kid a call, he should.

My buddy's kid is a friend of Donte.  He seems to think that if Brad makes the call, he's in.

Kid always creates chances and can turn on the burners in a hurry.

Watch him end up at Duluth.

Having himself a hell of a game here too.

I'd assume the coaching staff is down there watching....

I'm guessing he isn't overly interested in SCSU because one would have to assume they've offered to team him up with Troumbly. They have incredible chemistry. Donte looks like a perfect 2020 replacement for Donovan.

I've heard good things about Mason Poolman and Trey Ausmus for EGF.  Carsen Richels from Blaine (I believe currently uncommitted) was mentioned in the Potential Recruits thread as well.

Donte Lawson for Greenway is very good, and uncommitted...and on a side note, he liked my tweet to Berry about getting him to UND:lol:

What he said was accurate. Brad said it in his article today they win 5 out of 6, they put themselves right there. Winning the next four are certainly possible. DU on the road will be tough, of course. But, there's definitely still a chance of getting an auto bid.

Mathematically possible to have a path to an at-large? Maybe.

Realistically though, the next four games only matter in terms of trying to get home ice for a run at the auto bid.

I have a buddy that follows MN high school more than I do, and he noted that Andover should easily beat them, however he mentioned the refs would probably change things.  I thought it was funny when I saw DE's goal was on the man advantage in OT.  I shot him a text :)

For sure.  Andover is a much more skilled team, but they felt like a big underdog going in.  When the arm went up in OT, you could tell it was over.

The time has come starting with CC for UND MH to get in the habit of sweeping weekends.

Our chances at playing first round at home is very slim with Denver having a two game lead over us and we both have 4 games to go. Denver plays Omaha and CC.

We are at 18th in Pairwise, so we need to win and the teams just about us need to lose so we can slowly ratchet up.

there's only the chance of earning the auto bid.

    Fixed it for you

I've always heard Duluth East teams get homecooking in that building.  Curious what the PP split was.  I noticed Donovan's goal happened to be on the PP......in OT.  Curious how obvious that penalty was ???

Penalties were 2 each way.  Andover was set to go on the PP, but prior to a whistle, there was a call that evened it up.

Andover got a PP in the 3rd and tied the game.

East got their PP immediately in OT.  I think it was over after 36 secs.  It wasn't worthy of being called in OT, after the numerous questionable things they let slide throughout regulation...including Paine for DE getting away with going knee to knee with an Andover player on 2 occasions.
