The Sioux have looked good in the last few games. I believe the key will be to come out of the blocks strong, score the first goal, and shut up the fans right away. I do think we have the guns to beat SCSU on a head-to-head contest, but it is always tough away from home. Although SCSU is almost like a home away from home for the Sioux. There are typically LOTS of green jerseys in the crowd.

Proly a good thing. If he stood out it would likely be for penalties. I say good showing.....

UND 6- UAA 1 Fin!

My hockey coach (having grown up in GF) suggested I try soccer, which I did as a freshman in HS in 1971 (damn I feel old). because it was a similar "flowing game". I did. Made the team, but our HS soccer pitch was eliminated between frosh and sof years in favor of a parking lot. The goals were at either end still - pavement in between. End of soccer program. I went through serious hockey withdrawal ).

Sioux seem to be controlling the center third. Makes it tough for the UAA defense to swap out. Our defense is playing conservatively and very well, except for a few well timed forays forward,which have been working pretty well.. Knight GOAL

Trupp is really stepping up, as are other Sioux players. Good to see.

Don't get me wrong, I think it is GREAT that there is an expansion of "hockey territory", just wondering when it happened. I was in SC from 71-78. Nada hockey. And I mean NOTHING!

So how do hockey players end up coming from places like Alphretta GA and Las Vegas, NV? I lived in Charleston, SC after leaving ND in the early 70's. We couldn't even get the Stanley Cup game. My buddies gave me play-by-play over the telephone (you remember - the corded landlines, right). There was NO HOCKEY in the south at that time.

Wow. I find that hard to believe. I looked much more one sided in favor of the Sioux to me.And not just because I amsuch a die-hard Sioux fan either.

Pretty one sided so far, and not just based on the score line. UAA having trouble getting anything together. Having trouble even gaining our zone. Blood is able to work forward aggressively and get/cause some great chances.
