I'm almost positive it was in the BC game. I think it was in the third period, but I'm not positive about that.

The stats don't lie. Or maybe they do. Or maybe they don't matter at this point. In any case, you have to admit, UND's post-season surge is impressive. Power play better? Check. Penalty kill better? Check. Defense better? Check. Offense better? Oh, baby, is the offense better!

I suppose playing in the 2000 Frozen Four final on the national championship team as a freshman could qualify as "pretty well." I wasn't aware that Kevin went through something similar to Robbie. Thanks for letting us know, Speez.

Hey, I pitched the idea to USCHO. They just wouldn't go for a story headlined "Those Sioux sure can cycle!"

The Sioux have been good at cycling the puck all season long. Scoring off the cycle, until lately, has been another thing. But it is nice to see the guys getting some national recognition for their cycling ability, which will pay off big in the next two games.

I have mixed emotions about it. Maybe DU did it for the right reasons and maybe they didn't. I really don't know their motivation. However, I would have had far more respect for Gwozdecky and DU in this matter if he would have benched Paukovich for the remainder of the game -- 5-minute major or not. Putting him back on the ice invited trouble and sent the message that Gwozdecky tolerated that type of play. It makes me wonder how much of what's happened since then has been under pressure from the WCHA and/or lawyers. By the way, did anyone else notice from their tape of the game that shortly after the hit on Bina, you can see Brad Berry rushing behind Hakstol and angrily shouting something toward the Denver bench? I wonder what that was about.

I think I could've handled it. I doubt that Hendrickson could.

Yeah, I saw that and wondered the same thing. I'd hate to see what it would take for Dave Hendrickson to call it a decisive win.

He does that because he knows that spelling "Sioux" correctly would tip the X factor in UND's favor. Or maybe he just doesn't know how to spell.

He'd rather be on a volcano-prone island out in the middle of nowhere? Hard to believe.
