That's weird because here at the official Olympics Web site, they initially listed the penalty as "diving" at a time of 0:00 in the second period. I doubt that even Robbie Earl could accomplish that.

SDSU had no conference at the time it announced its move to Division I, which was clearly contrary to the wishes of the State Board of Regents. It says so right here.
-
No you don't. You'll put your eye out.
-
That conference didn't exist when SDSU turned DI.
-
I hope so. It will save me the trouble of having to watch the games.
-
Notice that SDSU simply ignored the "find a conference" requirement.

We are in good hands.

Which means that the Mississippi College appeal was approved more than two weeks AFTER UND submitted its last response to the NCAA.
-
I can't help but wonder if this part of UND's latest response didn't have something to do with the NCAA granting the appeal of tiny Mississippi College last Friday.

The recall election occurred at the same time as the 2000 presidential election. There was a special one-page ballot with a yes or no question to recall Hoff. For some reason, I accidentally checked "No," but I noticed the mistake just before I turned in the ballot. I asked for another one and properly marked it. Just think, I was almost as confused as those Florida voters.

Possibly. Stop ruining my image! Those Radke uppercuts were impressive, weren't they?

Anyone else notice the new wrinkle in UND's power play? When Matt Smaby was on, he'd rotate down from the point and position himself directly in front the the goalie. That's where he was when the Sioux scored their power play goal Saturday night. After last night's game, Hakstol seemed pretty pleased that the Sioux have two power play units that are playing well together. Holding UMD 1-13 on the power play was quite an accomplishment, too.

It was nice to meet The Avatar, Hockey Mom, her husband and son at the game today. I thought the women played their hearts out, but just couldn't get one past the OSU goalie. The send-off for the seniors last home game was very well done. I think they appreciated it. My daughter and I really enjoyed the game. We'll make it a point to take in more next season.

As I remember it, there were three or four candidates running and the top two got on the city council. I believe he was the second highest vote getter. I still don't know how that happened. Maybe it was the UND student vote. I live there, too. Recalling Hoff and voting him out of office was one of the greatest exercises in democracy in which I have ever participated.

If I based my impressions of schools on what sports fans wrote on Internet message boards, I'd believe that NDSU was a seething pit of hatred because of what's posted at bisonville.com every day. As others have pointed out, that site devotes an entire forum to nothing but bashing UND and the members there take great pride in it. That type of behavior isn't allowed here and people have been suspended for engaging in NDSU smack talk, which means that your statement makes you a major hypocrite. Some might be, but I think most Sioux fans are better at keeping it in perspective than NDSU fans. You think it's jealousy. I think it's UND fans saying: be realistic. That's your opinion, which has no basis in fact. There are some Bison fans and some Sioux fans here who are willing to debate issues without resorting to smack talk. I've been involved in some of those discussions, so I know they happen. If your definintion of success is "at least the roof hasn't fallen in," then, yes, I guess you could say that it's been successful. It's way too early to declare NDSU's move a success. I'm not saying it won't be, only that nobody can make that statement with any credibility at this point. Are you really that naive? Money is a problem everywhere, especially at NDSU because of the move to DI. You're fooling yourself if you don't recognize that. And if you're right, it would make absolutely no sense for UND to move to DI, would it?

Are you trying to prove that nobody cares about hockey?
-
Well, it helps that they give us media jackals these line chart thingies, too. I can't take all the credit.
-
I heard the trick was to score more goals than the Bulldogs, but you might want to wait for redwing77 to confirm it.

Here's tonight's sudo-journalist report. Both teams skated 10 freshmen Friday night. Tonight, UND had 10 freshmen on the ice and UMD had 9.

Can't you wait until this season is done?

From the Clarion-Ledger: MC wins appeal to keep 'Choctaws' Here's the NCAA news release issued Friday with a statement from Bernard Franklin, senior vice-president for governance and membership.

As long as it's ready for the start of the 05-06 season, that's all that matters.

I need some wine. How's the pipeline coming along?
