10 a.m. Now it's looking like I won't be there. I've been fighting a cold for the last few weeks. I thought I was getting better, but I woke up this morning feeling awful. Damn.

I might add that if the person posting comments on the Dakota Student Web site as "g lapointe" really is Gary LaPointe, his claim that Sioux-cia or I tapped into his unsecured wireless network to post the racist comments here is nothing more than an outrageous lie.

I probably misinterpeted your post, but it wasn't completely clear. The hearing this week is on the preliminary injunction. If Judge Jahnke doesn't grant the preliminary injunction, it doesn't mean the case it over. North Dakota is also asking for a permanent injunction and damages in a jury trial. So if you're saying it's could be the last home game of the season if the preliminary injunction isn't granted, then, yes, that's true. If you're saying it's the last home playoff game, that's not necessarily so. Sorry for the confusion.

What happens in court Thursday will not determine that.

I think it was more of a hope than an expectation. Of course, it's pretty easy to say you were hoping for somthing that you know didn't happen. The high comedy of the night was Bina admitting and that it probably wasn't a great idea for he and Genoway to lead the rush into the SCSU zone when the Sioux were 4-on-4 and they were the defensive pair. And then there was Hakstol's attempt to make it out as a practiced play.

I'm thinking of taking recap writing to a whole new level. I won't attend a game. I won't watch it on TV. I won't listen to it on the radio. I won't even read the game thread here. I'll just write my recap based on what I think happened. That way, I might be able to write recaps as entertaining as rw77's.

I'm glad to hear that you got a Sioux hockey fix while you were back in town. What a great game to watch. I wish the outcome had been in UND's favor, but it was the kind of game that makes college hockey so great. And thanks for your service to the Navajo nation.

I wrote a recap for USCHO. It probably doesn't compare in any way to redwing77's. But, hey, I tried.

In the first, period UND is outscoring opponents 10-1. In the third, period UND is outscoring opponents 13-6. In the second period, UND has been outscored by opponents 18-8. My key to the game is this: Don't lose the second period.

Like I said...coincidence.
