  1. Were you one of the 73 that bought season tickets last night?

I actually did buy a season ticket. Couldn't go wrong at $20 bucks. Was trying to figure out what the catch was. I have watched about 8-10 games through the Big Sky.

  2. Both good teams. Should be a fun game to watch. By saying either one will win shouldn't mean that the other isn't any good. I say that the winner has about 78 points and wins by 5. Up to 15 lead changes with no team having a greater than 7 point advantage. UND makes a bunch of fouls shots at the end and wins!

  3. I agree that Huff is capable and I hope he explodes again this year. But take into account he had a career high. Went back and looked at his season stats:

2011 44% from the field and 33% from 3 point

2012 40% from the field and 20% from 3 point

2013 45% from the field and 36% from 3 point

Against Wisconsin 68% from the field and 67% from 3 point

Huff isn't a great shooter. Huff can be a great scorer. Hopefully he has improved this year.

  4. Obviously, the sooner we get a coach with credibility to convince current players and recruits to come and stay will make a big difference in how long it will take to turn this ship around. I assume it will be the better players and recruits that would consider leaving for greener pastures. Right now if I was a player and had the option of su or UND it wouldn't be UND.

  5. I would like to believe that the vast amount of players give the effort. That would mean to me that we just don't have enough talent (size, speed, strength, coaching etc) and we way overestimated how good we were going to be this year. Again, captain obvious - but it puts a different perspective for me. I never imagined that we would get blown out and not be competitive and it hurts. Maybe we just expected too much too soon? Maybe SU made it look too easy? I see our linemen being manhandled - I just gotta believe that they have too much pride to just let it happen and they are generally giving what they have??

  6. Sorry - I guess my point is that some may say that a big part of the problem is effort. I am wondering even if the effort was there would we be able to compete.

  7. I will repeat my question in this thread. From my limited knowledge, we are our not big enough, fast enough, strong enough, smart enough, coached well enough to compete at the upper level. Do you believe that a whole team can just have "bad games?" It appears that we are still years away from getting to where I hope we will be.

  8. Are our current players big enough, fast enough, strong enough, smart enough, coached well enough to compete? Do you believe that a team can just have a "bad game" that was as bad as Montana? I will forever support UND. It just appears that we are still years away from getting to where I hope we will be. Not the end of the world either way.

  9. Like I said before - it has been a longggg time since I have been at a Sioux football game. I am having a little trouble convincing my wife that it would be fun at what she calls the "quonset". We hear that there are some good bike trails in GF. Might be able to make a day of it.

  10. UND graduate living in Fargo here. Haven't been to a UND football game in about 25 years. I went to all of the games when I was in college. Went to a few games after college but just stopped with everything else going on. Thinking of going to one of the upcoming games. How is the tailgating at the Alerus? I assume because it is off campus that alcohol is allowed? I can tell that UND has gotten better lately - exciting offense but the defense is nowhere near what is was back in my college days. I think we are on the way to be a good team in the coming years. Maybe see a few of you before the game.

  11. SiouxDude I agree about the skip passing. Many coaches don't like skip passing but if the girls are strong enough it is very helpful in breaking a zone defense. Jimmies have a couple of strong 6ft 1 posts though that might be able to stay with Kimbrough and Ledger. What normally happens in games like these is the weaker team's posts get into foul trouble early and it is all over. We will see very early because both teams will try to get the ball to the posts to set the tone. UND's guards are very quick and I would expect a full court press to see if Jamestown can handle. Expect a 25 point win - more if Jamestown cannot handle a press. If UND spells blood Jamestown should expect no mercy.

  12. With Jamestown College ranked high being 8-2 with some height and balance and UND a little down could this game be close? It has happened to the men. Could be another blow out but then again, maybe not.
