  1. Great win and comeback by the boys last night. It's games like these that can propel a team to special things.

It was also good to see a player (Kozek) have a breakout game. Contributions from players other than Oshie and Duncan will have an enormous effect on the success of this team from here on out.

  2. REDWING77 who cares if Chris writes an article about UND, one could make the argument that MSU-M is a bunch of classless hack and goons as well, its a blog, its his opinion he has that right, big hairy deal? Are you familiar with the first ammendment. So what! Are you going to lose sleep over it. I sure as hell will sleep tonight.

For the 100th time good for Zajac, what if Oshie didn't move and blew his knee out on the leg check? Season over for UND. That was a bush league move thank God Oshie saw it at the last moment. That is how Adam Calder got hurt his freshman season on a bush league leg check. People should be applauding Zajac for his actions. How do you know that Wheeler didn't start that move.

God, you are pathetic. It's always someone else's fault, isn't it? Here's our halo.........

  3. Seems like most forget that Pelletier started all of the extracurriculars last night when he went after the smallest Sioux player on the ice and threw punches, but I am sure a certain AR was looking the other way. After that it was a typical classless game by the Gophers, with lots of squeaks and whistles and then run down your little hole at the first sign that things are getting serious. Whoever picked their name knew what they were doing.

If you had told me the Sioux were going to hold the Gophers to only two goals in their home series I would have been pleased. If you also told me the Sioux would only get three points I probably wouldn't have believed you.

What an embarassment our program has become. It's no wonder that opposing fans classify us as they do. Unfortunately, the dirty and chippy play that our team exudes starts from the top. It's no wonder we lare at the top of the league in penalty minutes year after year. I long for the days of a Dean Blais-style coached team.

What's also embarassing is some of the rogue posters on this forum that justify our team's behavior.

  4. after reading through this thread, it's become clear to me why its so hard to come here daily like i used too...and even tougher to want to contribute...seems like anyone that wants to disagree with something gets absolutely crushed and more often than not it turns to personal attacks. I am a die hard sioux hockey fan. I've also spent the last 5 years listening to PA and Dubay. First off, Dubay has never ever once said that he is an expert or analyst.....he will tell you 10 out of 10 times that he is a rube...flat out just a fan of the sport. He does love his gophers and very vocal of his hatred for anything Wisconsin. But, like some have said, he is not a Sid or a Mazsucko....i think he is very objective when it comes to college hockey. I also can hear him skew a little towards his gophers, but every fan of every team in every sport is going to skew his views slightly towards the team they love. Does it make him a piece of s#!t like most of you are essentially saying?? No..it makes him a fan. I think that just the fact that he has a show called "beyond the pond" completely dedicated to talking hockey, NHL or NCAA is absolutely fantastic. I also love the fact that he now gets to mix it into the show and that they've been doing live remotes from surrounding cities when the gophers play there. He is very knowledgeable about the game, may not always say what sioux fans or even gopher fans wanna hear, but he's very plugged in. Now i don't agree with his being "shocked" if the sioux make it to the frozen four, but there is an argument out there as to why they might not, and i think that's been made very clearly here with their unsteady play, and the fact that they just got outshot on saturday 36-13 by a team that's won 2 games all year. They play like that in the tourney and it'll be 5-1 at best and we'll be saying our goodbye's to oshie and chorney and finley and whomever else leaves...if there is one thing that anyone should take out of this...it should be that sports talk radio isn't supposed to be expert analysis....it's supposed to be entertaining..if you want expert analysis...XM carries ESPN....call peter gammons and talk about baseball....don't look to expert analysis from talk radio...if that's the case, then dakota huseby is a genius.....(gf talk radio personality that has her head firmly planted in her ass......for those outside the listening area)

Very well said. We have way too fans that fly off the handle if the Sioux aren't pontificated.

  5. Nice shout out to BB, Redwing77.

Radio personalities are different than experts. Woog is an expert, Lou Nanne is an expert. Jeff Dubay is an entertainer, just like a clown in the circus or a poodle in a dog and pony show.

I agree. It's similar to when Looker announced the Holy Cross score during the Gophers/Sioux series in Grand Forks. Both Looker and Dubay can be viewed as entertainers and that's why I don't understand why we some of our fans are getting excited about this.

  6. I believe they could and they have. UND has beaten Michigan, Michigan State and Miami in the last three seasons. Incidenlty I heard that Miami was the top penalized team in the NCAA this season according to the CSTV broad cast the other night. You just better hope the Sioux don't have to play with Shegos reffing.

What does beating Michigan, Michigan State and Miami in past years have to do with this year? Also, Miami is not the most penalized team in the NCAA. We are currently taking that honor.

  7. Interestingly enough, I think I heard that being played in New Jersey's arena when the Devil's scored once. It was television, but I remember thinking "Oh, THAT'S where Mankato got the idea...".

Mankato has actually done this for several years now.

  8. Happy it isn't going to happen, not anytime soon. Second why would Michigan, MSU, Minnesota, Wisconsin, OSU want to have a league, one or two of them top schools is going to be on the recieving end of get the snot knocked out of them on a regular basis. The BTN is a pipe dream. I will believe it when I see it. Call me synical.

    Synical:

I think you might be cynical on this topic.

  9. I think the top 4 teams in the CCHA are pretty good but it drops off after those teams.

I think horrible is a word I use to describe the rest of the teams.

...........and yet you continue to harp about how Miami isn't any good because of their soft schedule.

  10. I will try to talk in baby talk so you can understand it go to GPL, USCHO or other places and read the stuff people say about UND.

I guess baby talk would be the norm from you. As expected, you still haven't provided any links so I guess I'll assume you've fabricated the whole thing.
