  1. Popolinos pizza. Blue Moose spin dip. Schneider tacos from Red Pepper. Steak at Helix. Pita Pit (hopefully, it’s still good).

Speedway was always under the radar before and after UND hockey games.

That’s all that comes top of mind.

    Grant "Monster" Mismash?

Decent player. Good college career. Not sure if the fans expected more out of him. Was a 2nd round pick (very late 2nd round pick), but there’s plenty of 2nd round NHL picks that don’t do much in their professional career. Hope he gets a NHL game soon.

Maybe he means straight from MN high school to college??!??!  If so, not many kids are successful with that route, so okay sure, I agree.

If not, I won’t go back all 20 years, and reasonable minds will disagree on this next one, but the Gophers did have a Hobey Hat Trick finalist (Ben Meyers) from the metro literally just last season…

Question - who was UND’s last twin cities big recruit? Shane Gerisch?

MN forwards over the years haven’t done much in the NHL. Erik Haula (decent NHL career) Nick Bjugstad (I’d say underwhelming career). Who else? Casey Middlestedt only played one year U of M and didn’t accomplish much.

UND has had some studs is Brock B. Nick Schmaltz (decent, not great NHL player) Brock Nelson in the last decade at forward

  4. This team at forward has a lot of pieces to shuffle the deck and with matchups against teams.

With Albrecht development and Portz speed, can be quite effective.

Then coaches I would imagine can toss in Strinden as heavy/gritty player against bigger teams once he develops and is sound in his own end and adjusts to the college game.

If Ness can play with some more skilled players, maybe he gets more looks this year too and ups his Gs.

Bottom line, team at forward has depth because which is good, because unfortunately injuries will happen.

The team was 10-0 as far as goals for/goals against at even strength with faber on the ice. Only goal against was the empty netter in the quarters.

in comparison, kleven’s was the lowest at even strength on the US. Not trying to bash kleven, more to point out that you have to bring some stats to make comment you did.

agree with Knies though, fairly underwhelming

Coaches were too busy playing and stroking off Luke Hughes. Like playing 2 lines only in state semifinal and final games. Not usually the recipe for success.

I go for what’s on the ice, plain and simple. Couldn’t care less about music, , jumbo tron promos, etc in between stoppages.

I’m talking strictly during the game (crowd) or after whistle or longer timeouts etc.

    Always room for improvement.

Far from sh^t but yes NHL Network

Just sucks it's the only way to watch. I still can't believe the NHL Network doesn't have a subscription base/fee. I feel like many NHL fans would pay 2-4.99/month to have the NHL Network to watch this and during peak NHL season and the playoffs.
