4-0 BC 8:38. Redwing, BC wasn't the team I wanted to come out of this game, but now that they've put it away, I want to play them. If we get past the Gophers (ify) and we get past BC (ify) the Championship should be quite a bit easier.

How long into this game is it going to be until they run Lammy. If I was Hakstol I'd tell the referee before the game that go after him every game. I don't know if it'd make any difference.

Not really the net was coming up before the third shot. More importantly I wonder about the rule enforcement. The BC player fell unforced and knocked the goalie back into the net. BC had two more shots at the net. I think that unless the players pushed into the goalie that should negate a goal after the contact. (If the puck goes in right ahead of the contact then I guess it's a goal) Update Barry Melrose said that was another reason for the goal to be disallowed, so I stand on my comment that I think Derrick Sheppards a complete tool. He should have seen that even from the far blue line where he made the call. (I'm exaggerating.)

More specifically the BC player lost his stick. Did he drop it by accident or did he intentionally throw it? Miami lost a scoring chance. Since you can't read the BC players mind, I think you should call the penalty shot and when the BC player complains tell him to hold on to the stick next time. The rest of the country is seeing what a joke WCHA refs are.

Your right about that leading to the 5-3. But when Kozek got up he got cross checked again, way late. Considering how late it was I think they should have put them down 5-3 right there. I thought the penalty though was because it was a stick to the head, not after the whistle. I thought they had at least 3 charges (jumping to throw the check) that should have been called. I'm not saying that it was a poorly reffed game. I'd take that officiating during the regular season any day.

I think Lammy got put off of his game when he got run over in the first 15 seconds. It took him a bit to get his head back into the game. In the second period he was pissed about the stupid slashing call. (I don't mind them calling that, but on the other hand they weren't calling crap after the whistler that Michigan was doing all game.) So that put him off his game again. How long into the game do you think it will be before they run Lammy tonight?

I think Michigan thinks that they are the royalty of the CCHA much like Minnesota thinks they are the royalty of the WCHA. They lose their cool if the game is called somewhat close. There were plenty more penalties that could have been called but I think on both teams. One thing they were bitching about was Porters 2nd goal (I think). Right before the goal he slashed the stick out of the defenses hands. I think you should learn to hold on to your stick.

One thing to give credit to the team was that they didn't take a lot of dumb penalties. The only one that I think was bad judgment on the Sioux's part was Lammy's.
