A lot of dominoes need to fall but this is what I could see happening; Idaho & New Mexico St. become football only members of the Sun Belt and keeps all other sports in WAC. WAC stops sponsoring football and adds Utah Valley and Cal-Bakersfield to make 7 members for all sports. Maybe Texas Pan-American to make it 8. Big Sky tells UND to take a hike, because dropping UND means they would have 12 football and 10 all sports members. UND becomes the 8th or 9th WAC all sports member. UND begs, borrows, and deal for a MVFC membership.

I forgot to mention, Yahoo/Rivals does not list the standings for the Great West Conference.

WOW that's for such a nice welcome, jerk. I know you have the IQ of a lug nut but I wasn't talking about rankings. I was talking about our record being listed with other independents. Did you understand or will I have to type slower, so somebody as stupid as you will understand?

Looking at the standings for WBB, in Yahoo, I notice UND isn't listed under independents. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/womens-basketball/standings The men's program is listed but not the women's.

While the Sun Belt has introduced stricter membership requirements, they do NOT have any penalties listed in their by-laws about expelling a school, if they do not meet those new requirements. But it is clear that the writing is on the wall for Denver. It is not a good fit for the Sun Belt. They want to get into the WCC, not happening. Big Sky if they allow non football members makes sense. Denver won't think about the Summit.

I saw a post on the NDSU board about Northern Arizona may drop football. If Northern Arizona does drop football, who would the Big Sky invite into their conference? For whatever reason Southern Utah doesn't seem like an option. The Big Sky is better than the Summitt League in basketball. So if Northern Arizona does drop football and we get invited, we should jump at the chance.
