Haha, still does not ring a bell, but if it was anywhere along the lines of something DHG would do, I know it could only mean trouble.

Oh brother. Is this suitable to talk about on a family website? What do you consider "naughty?" I have shamed my mother...ah well.
-
Ok, WHAT did we do on tv?! I haven't seen the footage and can't remember for the life of me farther than you smacking me and telling me we were on camera.
-
Haha, there goes RWD slutting me out again...even if it is true. Wookie, think you could get extensions by next Thursday? I'm a sucker for a man in a mullet!

I actually have a contact that I get tickets through every year. I was just looking into what this guy was offering.

Party Box at the Frozen Four...anyone interested?

Well, it obviously looks as though this is too last minute and there isn't enough interest. I do plan to get a hold of this guy tomorrow though after I figure out for sure how many tickets our group is going to need, since I have 7 tickets already lined up through a BU fan. If people are in need of tickets though, let me know ASAP because this guy said he can sell lower bowl ticket packages to me, but they need to be done by Tuesday because all leftover tickets need to be given back to the NCAA by Wednesday. We need as many Sioux fans there as we can get! -

Um, yeah. There's no way I can swing this unless we get 30 people. -

Ugh, seriously? Well, so far there are 4 people interested. Me, ScottM, Fetch, and proudsioux. We need a lot more if this is going to happen. Edit: Ok, possibly 6-7 with UNDLAW & company. -

Well, the guy from the Blues organization also said that the suites will be the only place where you can purchase/consume alcohol at the FF. I'm just going from my short experience attending NCAA events and from what he told me. -

Nope, no booze at any NCAA tourney, doesn't matter where it's being held. The West Regional was at the Pepsi Center where the Avs play, and all beer taps were covered for this tournament. For some reason private suites are the exception, and according to this guy we are allowed to drink in the party box. -

Haha, well when you ask if Sioux fans want to drink during a hockey game...yes, it probably is a rhetorical question. I think it would be a blast in the suite, but we need to find 30 people in all by tomorrow who want to do this. So far there's 2 of us. If we get enough people I'd probably have about 5 friends or so that would go in on this too. -
So I'm just throwing this out there. Last night I ran into a guy that works for the St. Louis Blues organization, and they have a bunch of FF tickets that they have to sell by Tuesday or else they have to give them back to the NCAA on Weds. I talked to the guy today, and he has a Party Box that he would sell to me for the tourney. If we get 30 people in the box, it's $300/person and you can drink alcohol during the games. http://www.scottradecenter.net/content/partyrooms.html From the looks of their website, it looks like they provide 4 cases of beer, 1 1/2 cases of soda, and dry snacks. I'm kind of borderline on this, because if I don't sit in a party box he'll still be able to get me good lower bowl seats. But...if I could get 20-25 other people who are interested in spending a little more money to sit in the box, I think it would be a blast. Talk about a SS.com get together! I would need to know by tomorrow afternoon. Anyone interested?

I am definitely there! Working on hockey tickets...I ran into someone after the game last night that said he works for the St. Louis Blues organization. He gave me his number and said he could get me lower bowl tickets or a suite. Gonna call a little later and find out if it's legit.

Ha, no. I told my friends, "Huh she looks like Tyra Banks." Then later when I was over talking to some Michigan players' dads apparently the waitress had gone over and asked her for an autograph. By the time I got back to my seat she was gone.

I agree with Petey. I have often times thought that Lucia comes off arrogant in interviews, but tonight he was classy all the way. Unlike Berenson, he didn't make excuses or blame the refs. It was just a hard fought game and this time it was the Sioux's turn. Classy. Makes me stomache the Gophers a little more. Can't wait for the rematch next season!

I wish all fans...of every team...could be as classy as Sagard. Tonight was a tightly fought, disciplined (if not too careful) of a game, and I would have been proud of either team making it to the FF. Although obviously I'm pumped that the Sioux won! I don't know how many Sioux fans were at the games, but tonight the camera guys kept putting my signs on the big screen, then a Gopher fan's "Sioux is a girl's name" sign on, and back and forth like that. It was hilarious. Next thing you know, the Gopher fan behind me, who I exchanged 'my team is better than yours' words with earlier, leaned forward and ripped one of my signs in half while I was on the big screen. Wow. All I could do was turn around and tell him how sad he was. And people wonder how I can be so disgraceful as to wear a Holy Cross jersey. Anyway, that's all in the past and I'm ready to cheer the Sioux on to #8!!! Thanks Sagard, and GO SIOUX!! P.S. Tyra Banks was sitting 2 tables over from us at Wazee's tonight when we were getting some munchies.

Wow. A play on words regarding a rodent is COMPLETELY different from talking about "retarded kids."

Yep, 3:1....6 regional tickets for every 2 lower bowl frozen four tickets. There were a lot of people selling tickets on Craig's List this week, and I think a lot of people buying. I easily sold my extra Saturday tickets to Gopher/Sioux fans that live in Denver. I still think the attendance was good. Easily 10-12,000 present at both games (slightly more in the Sioux/Michigan game). You gotta figure the arena has a seating capacity of 19,200, and most of the lower bowl, suites, and club level were filled, with scattered fans throughout the upper bowl. Didn't look as good as a packed REA I'm sure, but still an impressive crowd. There were a lot more Air Force fans than I thought there would be. I'm just wondering if tomorrow's attendance will pick up or drop...there were a lot of people trying to sell tickets as I walked out of the arena tonight. And just for the record, I have to echo everything Siouxdonyms said. The "R" word is one of my biggest pet peeves. Just yesterday I had to go to the executive director of the building that I work at because the assistant director of nursing has been consistently parking in a handicapped parking spot...at a nursing home. If it happens again on Monday, I'm calling the cops to get her ass towed. There is no excuse for ignorance.

I know I am going to be a nervous wreck. I was stunned throughout the first 5-10 minutes or so of the game, and again during the 1st minute of the 2nd period. All I kept thinking is, "If we get by Michigan, no way will the Gophers let us get away with so many mistakes." Hopefully the 5 GA was a wake up call to the boys to come out full force in all aspects of the game. We are lucky Bauer is a sieve.
-
They had extra and were givin them away to fellow Sioux fans. Unfortunately, I don't know many other Sioux fans in Denver and already had my tickets.
-
You should have. Some Sioux fan tried giving away 2 free tickets to the UM/UND game to me tonight. People are giving away tickets or selling them cheap.

Ok, I haven't read through the thread yet, but just some game observations. 1. My voice already hurts, and my blood pressure was sky high the first 30 minutes or so of the game. Love to see the scoring, hate to see the defensive collapse! 2. Kudos to AirForce for doing what they had to do to stay in the game. They looked scared to break out of their offensive zone, like they were overcompensating to prevent a Gopher odd man rush. But they played the body all 60 minutes despite being 1/2 the size of the Gopher players, and they blocked a LOT of shots. I almost thought they were going to pull off the upset! Classy fans, classy team. The Air Force players even stayed to watch the Sioux/Wolverines game. 3. The Gophers look huge. Maybe they just looked big next to AF players, but damn. Blake Wheeler looked like a giant camped in front of the net. AF couldn't budge Gopher players out of the crease to save their life. 4. Where is our defense?! I long for the days of Smaby, Greene, Hale, Schneider....the list goes on. If we make mistakes like that against the Gophers tomorrow, may as well start shining the golf clubs tonight. The Gophers will not let us get away with the sloppy D that we got away with tonight (Lammy, are you kidding me with that giveaway?!). 5. On the other hand, I don't remember our powerplay ever looking this good! Kudos to whichever coach has been honing that machine! With Bochenski and Parise on a unit a few years ago our PP was horrific. 5/8 powerplay goals tonight....that is the key to tomorrow's game. Don't take stupid penalties and capitilize on the PP. 6. Lammy Lammy Lammy...you continue to make amazing saves, yet let in the softies. Thank goodness all lines were rolling tonight. How about Porter's line?! I was hoping he would get a hat trick. 7. Pretty good crowd for a neutral arena. I didn't hear an attendance announcement, but I'd say at least 10,000 fans there. Pretty even mix. 8. Bring on the Gophers!! GO SIOUX!!

As I posted on another thread, I suck per usual. #312 on the list...1/4 on my picks.
