  1. Zach Budish is visiting the campus and will be getting a tour of the arena today. I'm not sure if this is an "official" vist or not, but at least he is going to be there.
  2. Stinks that Toews and Skille left after their Freshman seasons
  3. That's it! First round exit! Thanks alot!
  4. You're a Sioux Fan and you don't have a free herald logon? Oshie says he's coming back.
  5. Wow. Simply, wow. I know it can all change, especially since it is so close to the end of their season, but this is quite the news today. What will the Meet the Sioux be like tomorrow?!
  6. LMAO... as a matter of fact, I do. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendid=36189631
  7. According to this post on Mr. Oshie's myspace page, he is staying: "hey i herd you were staying but i am not sure. my dad talked to your parents and sad you were but i am not sure. are you? PLEASE stay! sioux need you!" As ya'll can tell, this information comes from a rock-solid and very reliable source.
  8. Here's a follow-up to what happened with the Stafford signing. I posted this over at USCHO... Here's how the deal went down. Stafford was in discussions with Buffalo when he was named to the National Team for play in the IHF World Championship. On or about the 28th the Buffalo deal was agreed upon in principle and Drew flew out on Saturday the 29th to finalize it before leaving for Europe (as a matter of fact, his flight was delayed due to a flat tire, a bad omen perhaps?). Here's where the screw up occured. Since the contract includes guaranteed money, USA Hockey was supposed to have taken out an insurance policy on Drew in case of injury so Buffalo wouldn't be on the hook for the contract (apparently standard procedure). However, when Drew got to Buffalo, USA Hockey did not have the policy or the proper paperwork ready and it was the weekend so nothing could get done. Buffalo said, whoa, wait a minute, we aren't completing this thing unless we're protected. Hence, the deal wasn't signed and Drew had to get going for the tourney. Now the thought was that Drew would get the deal finalized when he got back, but someone got on the ball and got the proper paperwork together and the deal got done (either by fax or Buffalo has a rep at the tourney, not sure on that one).
  9. Well, I am glad I prefaced the original post with "Unless something happens" because something last minute DID in fact happen. The deal with Buffalo was agreed upon in principle and Drew did fly to Buffalo on Saturday to sign the deal. However, a last minute snafu by a third party prevented the deal from being signed and Drew has since left for the tournament in Europe. If everything goes ok in Europe (i.e. no injury), the deal should be signed shortly after he gets back. I wish I was permitted to explain what held it up but I can't at this time. Maybe BB9 has permission to talk about it because he seems pretty dialed in.
  10. Unless a last minute change, Drew will be signing his NHL contract Saturday with a $900k signing bonus. This is a reliable source, but to answer some questions: 1. No, I don't have a link. 2. No, I can't give the source. 3. No, I am not a troll. My second post here but I have been on USCHO for years. 4. I hope I am wrong, but we all know Stafford leaving is 99% a foregone conclusion anyway.
  11. Well, he's not playing in Europe yet. No transfer news has been posted on the European Hockey websites, and those things are pretty accurate.
