  1. I know many would like to think (and perhaps correctly) that we are simply seeing the difference between a good dII team and a good dI team, and the difference is substantial. But I can't get past the fact that SDSU did not suffer similar growing pains, and is obviously thriving right now. Roebuck was 9-3 vs. Johnston-coached SDSU teams, and SDSU has not really expanded their recruiting base. So how do we explain the now huge difference between us and SDSU? Would Roebuck would be enjoying similar success to Johnston even if the two programs had comparable talent? I'm not looking to be overly critical--just looking for theories, because SDSU's success seems to dispel the notion that a good dII program in the Dakota's can't successfully make the transition fairly quickly.

I have to admit, that I have not followed SDSU very closely, do they have some signature wins in D1...? I know thay made the NIT, I think last year, but who have they been playing.....?

Before Tim Miles moved on to CSU, the Bison had a 20 win season in transition, but in Tim's last two years he got big wins at Wisconsin and Marquette, that is what got him to CSU........because his 20 win season was rather hollow with something like 16 or those wins against sub.500 programs....

  2. The guy is a heck of a coach and most will tell you, he is "cold-hearted". I don't know of the history between Kimbrough and him but if he wanted to prove a point, he would do all he could to prove it. We are finding out, again, how hard it is to play at the next level. You know, we would have been a top 10 team again in DII. The jump to mediocre at the DI level isn't going to come soon.

Had beers will Bill and Mac last time down in Ames, he was not very happy, thought KK strung him along a little bit, but yes, I see alot of similarities between him and Buck......

I expected this, I just thought the rest of the team could at least make a bucket...? 27% so far over all...14% from 3.... ???

KK just fouled out with 13 / 6

P.S. You mean to tell me there is a difference between D1 and D2.....?

  3. They got a nice win today. 72-58 i believe. Minimal turnovers... So much for lamars coach thinking UND was an easy W huh.

That is a very nice win for the Ladies, now in all probability they will get to play ISU tomorrow....

Kierah Kimbrough turned down Bill Fennely Coach at ISU, and he was not very happy about that, she wanted to play for UND and be closer to Family......She had 25/9 tonite....Tomorrow will be interesting

  4. I was there, and it was a terrible performance. We didn't deserve to win this game, and Valley City St., although I commend their effort, was not a talented team by any means.

It was a banked in 3 pointer for the win........? and we say in the interview, yes it felt good, I got a good look... ???

  5. I realize that many people take many different UND sports very seriously to one degree or another. No matter what happens during the transition and even long thereafter, I hope we can all promise to each other on here that we will NEVER do what bisonville is doing to Mertens and Bibeau. Being critical of a college athlete is one thing, but making personal attacks and even mentioning family members is completely out of bounds in my opinion.

Like I said, no matter what the future holds, I hope we can all make a promise NOT to do what they have done and are doing to Mertens and Bibeau all year at bisonville. I feel terrible for those kids to have to read that crap.

It is just a game, played by young men who work there tails off. We get a chance to buy tickets and be entertained. What is happening down south (IMO) is a disgrace and completely out of bounds and totally uncalled for.....I also agree with your post.

  6. At least we won't have to deal with Crabtree and Harrell. So TT will have some new faces on the offense too. A new QB running that system in his first start of his career might be the ONE saving grace for UND in this game.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying..... :silly:

Sounds like you may want to suit up.......? They do not let you play with rings (NC) on.....

  7. So is it safe to say that we will open next year at Texas Tech with Daggett, Anderson, Bamba, and Konrath at WR? Not a whole lot of experience there. Plus a new starting QB in Landry and we lose our 2 best olineman in Troen and Braegelmann. Should be interesting to say the least on offense.

LOL...and to top that off TTech could be raising either a B12 Championship or National Championship Banner.....(ESPN Gameday,...?)

It is Crazy that we can not thru the course of a season give the back-ups some quality snaps...imo
