  4. I agree that this team is fun to watch, they seem to work hard and play together, I think the wins will come. I would not like to play these guys come NCC Tourney Time, I think they will make some noise....
  5. This is funny , only because the other nite at the UND mens game, "Al Monaco" one of the Refs at that game, did a pretty decent job at The UND vs Mankato game.... I told him "Al nice job tonite, but still can not forgive you on that USD game a few years ago" He turned and gave me a smile and said I know I'm sorry...

  9. Ever ask yourself why is Minnesota Womens Hockey Light years ahead of us...? I would like to know why, we both started programs around the same time....Our facilities seem to be better..... I know Minnesota has a Feeder program with the High Schools.....But we are Years behind them..... And now we will only fall further......Too Bad The twins will win at least two National Titles while they are there..... just my thoughts
  10. During the initial phases and before construction, the concessions were to be "The flavor of Grand Forks"...Such places as Italian Moon, Bonzers, Sanders, Red Pepper, Happy Joes, Dagwoods, Blue Moose, Whiteys and more.... Were to be involved in bringing different food and beverage selections to the Ralph.... something happened along the way to change all these plans, and a monopoly occured shutting out almost everyone, unless you paid big bucks to REA for rights to sell... I think this has diminished the not only type of concession (Unique) you could provide, but also the support from some of the local purveyors... Just like the Attitute during the World Juniors.... REA gets all, and local home owned gets shut out...? Can not win the fight..when they make all the rules.
  11. Coach Ulferts (Lori) is a UND Grad (from Warren,Minn) use to play Field Hockey, Softball, Volleyball, B-Ball at UND (with Ms Walrus). She always has been nothing but Class win or lose, she has done a outstanding job at St cloud. Great Lady...!
  12. I an not sure Dean (Coach Blais) ever scored a goal for UND??
  13. Really enjoyed watching Brandon play football for UND.... But one of my favorite Brandon Stouth moments was on the basketball floor, A couple of years ago at a UND game at the Ralph. We were fournate to be entertained by the Alexander Aces (a youth basketball group from alex, minn, that entertains at half time with spinning tricks and dribbling of basketballs, ages maybe 7-13)... Anyway helping the Aces that night was #27 Proud as he could be wearing his UND FB Jersey and assiting this well trained basketball entertainment..... What was great was to see, was a college age young man, not afraid to go back to his roots and you could see the pride and excitment in both Brandon's face and the young Aces eyes as they performed.... It is not always about wins and losses or yards gained or games played, but it is about the person you are and the men they become, I for one am very proud of fine athletes and young men like Brandon... Good Luck in the future....Trust me you will be fine.....Thanks for all the memories

  19. Time will tell how intersested some of these potential canidates are.. One thing I hope for sure that our Athletice Administration really takes a long hard look at canidates with UND ties. We have such a rich tradition in Hockey it would be a same to go outside the envelope, If we have well deserving alumni that wants to give back. In my opinion we have not looked at alumni and friends of the UND 1st for a long time (Hak and Lennon the only exceptions) and I am not just talking coaching, other areas as well.
  20. I have heard Steve Johnson is interested... He would be a great asset to UND, I really believe he could recruit, condition, manage, and coach the players into the national tournament picture.. Plus he has all the UND ties needed...
