Yeah, he is the same height as Walski, I think maybe we should try to get some bigger goalies though.

I wish that I could go see it! I have studied bits of that part in history and would love to learn more. One of the reasons that the movie about Pearl Harbor drives me nuts is that they messed up President Roosevelt's speech in it. In my mind, if you are going to make a movie, at least get the speech right!

Lamoureux's jersey had a first bid of like $400. That is the only one that I looked at. I believe you are probably right with none going for less than $600.

Thanks for the up-dates 31-9. Glad to hear about the arrest. Tell your boys that we are thinking about them.
-
Thanks for the update, PCM. Hopefully, the boys are getting prepared for this weekend and will be ready to go on Friday. I know that I am ready to go!
-
You didn't see him play? I have tapes of him playing last playoffs, if you don't believe us, check out his playoff stats. He played in 18 games in playoffs last year. http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?service=page&am...layerId=8470121

That would be awesome if you got pictures for our former players thread. And welcome, it is always nice to hear from other college hockey fans. Any word on how the players are doing? How long are they all out for?
-
ok, no wonder I was confused. I wish they would have left him up but since I am a bit of a homer, I tend to think that all of our boys should be playing in the NHL!
-
yeah, sorry must have not read that right earlier or I wouldn't have posted the thing about Drew. My bad.
-
never mind, I figured it out. he is like 19 for another couple of months. I guess I thought he had been around for longer than that.
-
Okposo, Stoa, and some other guy that I didn't recognize from Minnesota, and Jack Skille from Wisconsin. Is Skille really still eligible? How old is he?
-
Drew is on the roster sheet for Rochester tonight, so he must be there. Link: http://stats.theahl.com/stats/game-summary...game_id=1002535

THETRIOUXPER- yes, I am very happy getting back to the topic of the thread, though if you want I will start a thread with Kessel news, so that you can bash him if you would like. As promised here is some more links on the BU attack. From the Daily Free Press, the student newspaper. http://media.www.dailyfreepress.com/media/...gepublisher.com From the Boston Herald. http://news.bostonherald.com/localRegional...rticleid=170515 and that is all i could find. If any of you have accounts with the Boston Globe online, they have an article on it as well. Oh yeah, and I was wrong before, it was outside of some apartments. My bad.
-
Ok, back to the topic of the thread. I believe it was outside a bar that this happened. I couldn't exactly figure it out from the article. As for Phil's lower body injury, I highly doubt that, unless it is different from the one before the season when his eye happened. If he and Hak say lower leg, then I believe them. He is back and whatever happened is his own business. I will look around and see what I can find about th BU incident further.

here is a link I found on uscho.com about the Boston University team. Makes you wonder what happened for this to happen. http://www.uscho.com/news/id,13252/BUPlaye...ltercation.html

I was trying to be nice, I haven't personally been attacked by him and felt that everyone else had pretty much covered that portion.
-
thank you, that is what I was trying to say.

Ok, I bolded the part that I will refer to here. How was the injunction not at the heart of the case. The case is whether or not the NCAA was wrong in making a list that excludes schools from hosting post season play if they have a "hostile or abusive" nickname. Wouldn't an injunction that allows UND to hold such events be in the middle of that? Secondly, why would tuition hike up to pay for a lawsuit? The lawsuit is being paid for by private donations to a litigation fund. NO PUBLIC/ TAX money is being used in the lawsuit. The State Board of Higher Education only agreed to the lawsuit if UND would raise the money on their own. Tuition is being hiked up anyway and not because of the lawsuit. What people are trying to say to you is don't attack us and expect us to sit back and not get mad.

I believe the rule is that if you have played less than 20% of the season's games, you can get a medical redshirt. Hence why Trotter could get one last year. Tormey has played in too many when you figure it out. It would have had to be less than seven games and he was playing in his tenth game this season. That completely and totally stinks for him.
-
I didn't mean to start a huge debate, though it is nice to hear what others think. Either way, hopefully Tormey will be ok soon. As for Wheeler, whether or not he meant to do it, only he knows for sure and he will get what he deserves if it was intentional eventually.
-
nah, Robbie seemed to have pent-up agression at the beginning of the year and now he doesn't. He is probably just saving it up for Pauko
-
Ok, I was watching last night and then I looked at the video again to see what you mean here. From my viewpoint watching the video, Wheelers skates were turned away from Tormey when he was hit and as he was sliding, he turned his feet into Tormey. Personally, watching it I felt like it was Wheeler's fault because he didn't have to turn his legs, but that might just be me. Hopefully, Tormey will be ok in the long run.
-
that is alright tv has him listed as being a senior too!

There's your Mr. Electricity!! Woohoo!! Nice run by Dressler!!
