Turris is a Wisco recruit right? I really was liking him for the Hawks, but now let's hope he goes three and does sign, to take him off Wisco.

Also remember that gas stations don't have a huge profit margin regarding gasoline, but more make their profit off of other services.

It's my first mention of JT under former players , but saw they formerly introduced JT to the Blackhawks in a press conference, just showed the conference on ComcastNet TV and they even made a pun about this JT bringing sexyback.

Are there still plans to build the new movie theater at the site also?

What happened to the mountain bike? Also, are the cicadas like they are their as they are in Chicago (17 year cicadas are invading, something like close to 5 billion of em)

Down here in Chitown for the summer, just wanted to make you all feel better, 3.699 on the low end, 3.899 on the high end. Amazing that two months ago in GFK we were filling up for half that.

Welcome to siouxsports mburtonk, just a reminder, the REA and the University of North Dakota are both businesses, and are always looking to make a profit. I'm a student and do not mind at all paying $6 bucks a ticket, it is a steal, compared to the rest of the arena. Have fun getting tickets every week if they were free, then your just asking every student to get tickets, and probably less student attendance during games IMO due to the game now being at the student's convience. Back to the topic at hand, I'm glad to see the National Don't Buy Gas Day worked, as most analysts predicted prices would go up due to the increased demand the day after, looks like up .15 cents in Grand Forks today. Lastly yesterday I was watching WGN News at Noon, and outside of Chicago they are converting cars to complete electricity, and its like a tenth of the cost. Also the state of Illinois is giving people $4000 if they convert their vehicles. Only downside, cars only get 50 miles to a charge, but if you stay in Grand Forks most of the time, it wouldn't affect most people.

May 21st, University of North Dakota, JT has too much class, he'll inform DH and the rest of the coaching staff, and let them make the official announcement.

Dietrich's Bus Service

It will not work, analysts have found that the lack of demand will just result in more demand the following days and thus even higher gas prices.
-
I don't want to Debbie Downer but we can't blame the oil companies for this, we depend on a product from the most unstable area in the world. Gas prices will continue to skyrocket until WE change our driving habits to change the demand. Try: Walking Riding a Bike Carpooling Taking a bus

I was specifically told there was something else he was arrested for.
-
I agree they need to put Drew back in, him and Vanek have too much chemistry to just sit him. Also, was at the Ralph yesterday for a graduation party and Porter was out playing on the ice with Mr. Smaby.
-
After the whistle their was a small skirmish and a Landcow came up from behind and took out Smaby's legs and that just set Jones off, and as they were bringing him to the box he tried to get to the player in the Mavs box.
-
Sounds like they dropped a charge because from what I heard from people at the party was that Finley was arrested, and a loud party violation is not an arrestable offense.

Saw Matt Jones in Grand Forks last night, he looks good, real big guy now

yes me too

I like him after the first questions.

If you happened to see this speech live, it was very rousing a very emotional, IMO may be the turning point in the grieving process at VT. I think you need to read the entire poem to understand how it was meant to be understood.

Here Here I second that But thankfully cowbell guy is gone
-
IMO, this getting off topic but the Ralph has to take some seats out and allow for some standing room only areas, usually those drunks seem to liven up a crowd, at least it does at the United Center centuries ago when they did sold out

I understand peoples points on how a concealed weapon could have helped difuse the situation, but IMO a situation such as 82SiouxGuy suggested is more likely. How does one react when being shot at? How do we know this person, who was properly trained and is safe to handle a weapon, does not become "trigger happy" and inadvertantly shoot the wrong person (say a student coming around a corner), or miss and have stray bullets flying everywhere. Also in a situation, your possibly giving this shooter an extra weapon if that person does become injured. Personally, I feel that we as a country need to take better responsibilty on gun control. A simple background check is clearly not enough, we need to get the unnecessary guns off the street before we allow persons to carry concealed weapons. Just yesterday my roommate commented on him going to get a gun. He is a soldier who served time in Iraq, and yes I do trust him with a gun, but what is it needed for I asked him, he simply stated, "There's been some shootings in Grand Forks" which is yes true, but extremely rare. A radio guy on KFAN said it best this morning, the issue of gun control cannot be discussed in northwestern MN, and ND for two reasons. 1. Almost everyone owns some form of gun 2. Everyone in this area uses their weapons appropriately (leaving out the Red Lake incident) Just my political point of view, though I didn't want it to become a political debate for a few weeks from now, because this is a time for grieving. Let's all remember today "We are all Hokies."

I feel that your making it seem like it could have been worse, we all know it could have been.

The world is full of lessons to be learned, in ten years, we should all, from the police, to the families, to the people directly involved, to the people just touched look back and see how this has affected us, whether it be just to say I love you more, to procedures to be followed, and most likely how to prevent situations like this politically (though I'm saddened to know this issue will only turn into a debate with two sides).

I was thinking of creating a thread earlier for this subject, but didn't know if it would be appropriate. Also being a college student, this incident has not only grabbed me, but also my guess almost everyone else in this country. Let's just hope that there is a lot of "radical love" as my pastor would call it, and many can be forgiven, many can be remembered, many can have a speedy recovery, and all of us can learn a lesson from this tragedy. As for parents, hug your kid a little tighter tonight, as a student who does not have the ability to see my family very often, it makes cringe knowing that their are so many parents, and families who will not be having their child to email, call, or talk to. Love and peace all..........
