As if most UND students have a clue what is happening on the ice, or for that matter many other people in th stands.
I will guarantee you that UND students and fans know a lot more about hockey then UW fans. I have been to Madison a number of times, and once I heard a fan calling for a penalty over a routine check. Then they said, you can't knock them down. What really. I suggest they read Hockey for Dummies and then maybe they will have a clue.

I still think that the student section does not know sh#@ about hockey. They are just there to do some choreography and go home. I like going to Madison if not for the reason to hear them yell " That's Debatable" regardless if they are at full strength or the Sioux are. What, they cracks me up. But they do have fun and I have never had a too bad of experience in Madison.

Wife and I are flying from Denver to Omaha on Friday morning. Staying at the Hilton and will be partying before and after the games here: http://www.upstreambrewing.com/ - they have great beer and food.

So is it piss poor in the NHL cause they don't wear their names on the back of their sweaters? HEA doesn't wear nameplates.
It is so the fans can't make fun of specific refs. It might hurt their feelings.

The WCHA can't suspend Malone today.....no way no how.....You can't wait a day before the series to hand out a suspension.
If they were going to suspend Malone they should have done it on Monday or Tuesday so UND could have practiced those days with the knowledge that they wouldn't have him. Thats what they have done in the past, and I would believe will continue to do in the future.
I am still feeling bad for the Martin kid. Hopefully he's doing okay. I'm glad that he has no ill will towards Brad for the clean hit.
I said this same thing on page three. I know feel that the WCHA will not suspend Malone at all. But nothing would surprise me with that group of mental giants.

I agree. I think the 5 Maj and Game DQ were enough, and were done partly to keep the game from getting out of control as well. Malone got his punishment and should be on the ice Friday.
3pts for the Sioux this weekend.
I also think that it is ridiculous to wait until Thursday to let a team know if a player is suspended. Either make the decision quickly on Monday or Tuesday but after that there should not be a decision that effects the team for that coming weekend. They are trying to prepare and having that unknown must be hard on the players and coaches.

Just added the sports pak a few weeks ago for $5.00 off for 3 months,
You have to talk to real person to get the deal. Not available online or phone menu.
Spent 20 minutes talking to get a better deal, but no cigar,.
Directv is getting outrageously priced & thought I could get a better deal for being with them for 10+ years.
Looked at switching to the Dish or cable, but Sioux hockey games weren't available.
Someone put earlier that this Saturdays game is on Ch.625 on Direct TV, it looks like it is a Big Ten alternate channel. I know it is included in the sports pack.

I downloaded it and I still cant get a video feed. This sucks. Nothing loads it just sits there.

I can not find a link to the game that is free or is it a pay per view game. I am using Safari so I am not sure if that is the reason I am having troubles.

I also got my tickets to the UNO series. I am looking forward to seeing one of the new teams. Now if I could get a really good deal on a room at the Hilton there that is connected to the Qwest Center I will be happy.
The only onther series I am going to make it to is the SCSU series in Grand Forks. Although that is a road trip for me. Omaha is a 4 hour drive and Grand Forks is a 9 hours drive.

UND will play BC at 2:00 and Miami will play Bemidji at 7:00. ;-) Actually, IIRC, the first game usually starts at 2. You can probably find actual times at the NCAA web site, search for 2011 Frozen Four.
There is actually no times listed yet. But as 82Siouxguy said my guess would be right around 2pm central time.

Got my tickets for the Frozen Four. Taking the whole family for the first time. Should be fun.

I called Direct TV this afternoon and was told that they will no longer carry FCS on channel 617 and 623. I think the guy did not know very much, but I need to know if the games are going to be there once the season starts.

I was going to say waste of skin and obviously not very smart when it comes to hockey. Notre Dame is barely relevent at all in college hockey. But I am sure the UND admins enjoy the Checks that Notre Dame sends for letting them use the interlocking UND. Thanks
