Meant to say I am interested in a dvd of the game. Did anyone who recorded the game be able to make a DVD copy for me? -

Last year I purchased the North Dakota Premium APP by NeuLion for android from what is now called the google play store. I noticed this year none of the premium content is available on the APP. I noticed this because for my UND insider free online account, there is a video of the full volleyball game from 9-2-12 vs Green Bay. Trying to view it online tells me I need a subscription, which makes sense since my online account is the FREE one and I only get audio for games and non-premium video content. But why was it not available on the premium App I wondered? I figured it was NeuLion, since the APP store says the premium APP which is still for sale online will expire at the end of the 2012/2013 season. However after a number of emails and then phone calls to NeuLion, I was told UND is not paying to have premium videos available on the APP, only audio, so to get premium video the only option is UND insider. It seems misleading to still have the premium APP for sale if in fact it does not offer any premium content. Is there something in the works to view premium content on a mobile device (ie android or apple)?

Thank you Jason for posting information on the direction UND is heading with viewing options for Sioux sports. While I am disappointed FTA is no longer going to be an option, I am hopeful your comments on making Sioux sports available on as many platforms as possible will mean there will be a way for most to tune in (especially those of us who have enjoyed FTA for so long). I like the idea of an app for a SMART TV. Also hopeful you are considering ROKU.

No kidding! How disappointing! I was really hoping Jason was going to be announcing FTA would still be available, but based on this tweet that is not so! Perhaps they plan to do something really cool, like having a Roku channel for Sioux sports!

2011 Shattuck vs the World Celebrity Hockey Game
a_hockeynut replied to ber818's topic in Men's Hockey
No dough to the boy who hit the hole! However, the insurance company is donating $20k to hockey programs..... "Odds On Promotions of Reno, Nev., the company which insured the event, is instead donating $10,000 to each the Faribault and Owatonna youth hockey programs in the names of the two boys, Nate and Nick Smith." 2011 Shattuck vs the World Celebrity Hockey Game

We were there, and it was awesome! My friend said after he made the shot "why didn't I video that?", and now here it is all over the place (even caught the family on the Today show!). The family could have kept their switcheroo to themselves, but did the honest thing and fessed up which I see as very honorable. I am certain the insurance company will not pay, as they have made it clear the name on the ticket drawn had to be the one who took the shot. They have said they would use the money mostly for a college fund, and donate the rest to their local hockey association. The today show indicated there is a website setup (http://hockeytwinswin.com/), although not much there to really tell how legit it is. -
84% here tonight, they must have did something to improve the signal! Woohoo, GO SIOUX!
-
I was getting a low signal on the FSSN feed (not for the regular channels on 91w), and found 1 click west (I have a motorized system) and my signal jumped to 60% for FSSN.
-
I had no problem getting the game on Sunday (feed was up at about 5:45pm). The satellite coordinates were different than originally posted on the ralph website (I had to blind scan to find it). Sounds like you tried that too though, so you may have to look and see if either some trees are now in the way which were not before, or possibly your alignment is off. And yes, the FTA channel is on the same satellite it was last year.
-
This is really awesome! Thanks for sharing these! I would also like to make a request for next month, and that would be some sort of way to tell the difference between HOME and AWAY games (could be as simple as an @ sign in front of the opposing team when it is an AWAY game). Thanks again!

Listened to an interview today with Zach Parise on NHL Live, and thought others may be interested in listening (or watching) the interview as well since the interviewer (John Giannone) asks Zach about UND and the name change for the Sioux. Watch video here: http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/console?c...40&id=68843 MP3 available here: http://podcasts.nhl.com/20092010/live/2010...zach_parise.mp3

Saw this posted in the announcement for this weekends game: A commemorative game program will also be available, featuring a team photo of the 2000 national championship team on the insert poster and special 10th anniversary images. Since I cannot make the road trip to Grand Forks, I am wondering if someone would be willing to pick me up one of these and mail to me, I will repay cost of the game program and shipping. Unless someone knows if they will be selling these online somewhere (siouxshop.com)? Thanks, and Go SIOUX!

I presume you are planning for Sunday? Also, forgive me for not knowing, but what are GPL, PB? Thanks!

Agreement between Charter and Midcontinent?
a_hockeynut replied to nodakvindy's topic in Men's Hockey
There are a couple UND games scheduled to be on Charter Mainstreet. December 4th and 5th at UMD, and February 12th and 13th at SCSU. -
FYI, I use titantv.com for my direcTV listings online. I had to add the 3 FCS channels manually to my schedule (FCSC which is 617, FCSP, and FCSA which is 623). 623 shows the football game on saturday and the hockey game on sunday, and the Sioux Sports Extra a few times as well. Looking ahead shows the hockey game on 623 on 10/09, but did not see the game listed on 10/10. 617 shows the Sioux Sports Extra a few times. So it looks to me so far channel 623 is going to be used most of the time for the games.
-
Nothing, notta, no Sioux Sports Extra to be found tonight Will have to see what happens 3:30pm saturday I guess.
-
Here's a question. As far as I know Sioux Sports Extra has not been put up FTA in the past. However, the announcement has this: >Sioux Sports Extra can be seen weekly on Wednesdays at 5:30 >p.m. Central on Fox College Sports Central. The show will >also be seen at other selected times, including 3:30 p.m. >Central on Saturday prior to the kickoff of the UND-USD >football game. So does this mean Sioux Sports Extra will be put up FTA on FSSN? Or is there another method FCS will be getting Sioux Sports Extra to broadcast it? I will see what I can find out tonight
-
Is this game going to be on FSSN? The game notes did not imply it would be. I realize the FSSN schedule showed it was going to be on here. The game notes only talked about the home games which are going to be on FSSN.

I see this event conflicts with the 3rd annual Oshie Sports Celebrity Golf Tournament up in Grand Forks, which is unfortunate since that means some invited attendees will likely not be able to attend both events! For some Faribault MN may be alot closer than Grand Forks ND. Plus, this event has a celebrity hockey game on Thursday night (July 30th), and the celebrity golf is on Friday (July 31st). List of confirmed hockey players so far: Kyle Okposo (former Gopher, current New York Islander) Brady Murray (former Fighting Sioux, current Los Angeles Kings) Jordy Murray (former S-SM, current Wisconsin Badger) Zach Parise (former Fighting Sioux, current New Jersey Devil) Jordan Parise (former Fighting Sioux, current New Jersey Devil) Patrick Eaves (former BC Eagle, current Carolina Hurricane) Ben Eaves (former BC Eagle and Pittsburgh Penguin) Drew Stafford (former Fighting Sioux, current Buffalo Sabre) Casey Borer (former St. Cloud St. Huskie, current Carolina Hurricane) Marty Mjelleli (former St. Cloud St. Huskie) Mario Mjelleli (former Augsburg Auggie) Jamie Langenbrunner (New Jersey Devils) Jordan Leopold (former Gopher, current Florida Panther) Paul Martin (former Gopher, current New Jersey Devil) Jason Blake (former Fighting Sioux, current Toronto Maple Leaf) Seth Helgeson (former Faribault Falcon, current Minnesota Gopher) Here are some specifics: 3rd Annual Celebrity Hockey Game Coming soon, the 3rd Annual Faribault Hockey Association (FHA) Celebrity Hockey Game! "The game", which costs $5 for kids and $10 for adults, is a fundraiser that will benefit the FHA and youth hockey around the area. 8th Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament Join us for the 8th Annual Faribault Hockey Association Celebrity Golf Tournament and Banquet. 2009 MN State Hockey Tournament
a_hockeynut replied to BSUbeaveralum's topic in Non-collegiate sports
I have a similar predicament. I cannot get KSTC-45, and do not have Charter cable (which I guess is showing the games here on 14). I have found a couple options: 1) For auidio only (I believe): http://www.mnsportsnetwork.com/ 2) Possible video and audio: http://myfoxhockey.com
