  1. Here's my recap: http://westerncollegehockey.blogspot.com/2...for-hockey.html I was pretty impressed again with Forney. I agree with what has already been said. One thing that I forgot to add was that Robby Phillipp played a great game and should get some college attention, especially if he plays juniors for a year or two.
  2. It's a weird issue that I don't believe many people are quite clear on. One thing to keep in mind though is that a school like Michigan loses just as many, if not more players, early to the pros each year and they still managed to score a 982 on the APR. Same with a school like Minnesota. So I think the issue probably runs a little deeper than players leaving school to turn pro, regardless of how the NCAA calculates it.
  3. North Dakota and Anchorage were the two schools that had the failing scores. Both schools should be close enough to the mark that they should be fine by next year as long as they take careful care with their athletes. St. Cloud was below the mark last year and they were able to recover.
  4. Don't pay attention to the dateline on that. That was just the date it was first posted. It gets updated pretty frequently. In fact, I updated some stuff on it today. dave is right. I post as Maize on the 'cho. The fact that I get confused for Chris Heisenberg is pretty flattering though. I got a lot of visits from this site when someone linked to me earlier in this thread, so I figured I'd join up.
  5. Nope. If I was, I'd probably have a lot more information for you.
  6. Colin Wilson is from Canada and scored a ton of points as a bantam, but has dual-citizenship and was given an offer to play for the NTDP a year early. He would be a 2008 recruit unless he decided to accelerate his schooling. He seems like a very good offensive talent and performed very well at the U17 championships. He'll be one of the top recruits for that class.
  7. Sorry, I couldn't help you there. I have no idea.
  8. In my opinion, here are the guys the Sioux have the best chance at from the list above: Mario Lamoreaux will probably end up with the Sioux. He's keeping his options open right now, but Brent Sutter gave him a pretty solid pitch this fall to come to the WHL and he didn't go. That could change this summer if he decides he doesn't want to play in the USHL again next year, but otherwise, I'm pretty confident he'll up with the Sioux. I like their chances with Aaron Marvin, Derrick Lapoint, and Ben Winnett too. If I had to guess, I'd say all three of those guys will end up with the Sioux. They're probably at least interested in the other guys as well. One name that isn't on that list that probably should be is Colton Grant from Alberta. He'll be very highly recruited by a lot of WCHA teams. You can probably cross Alex Kangas off the list. He doesn't want to wait until 2007, and if for whatever reason, he did wait, he'd likely end up with the Gophers. I should add that they probably have good chances at some of the 2008 guys, but it's way too early to tell how good those chances are.
