It looks like he is playing in a 4x4 league in the Twin Cities. MN 4 on 4 Hockey Rosters

Looking at the full invite list and the final css rankings, it looks like Fienhage is the highest ranked '90 player not invited to camp. There are a couple '90 D ranked lower (Comrie and Warsofsky). Too bad - I don't think he would have made the final team but the camp would have been good for him.

I don't know when it was updated but CH recruiting page now lists MCW and Gleason as 2009 and Fienhage as 2008. CH Recruiting Website

USHL Fans - can you compare the quality of officials in the USHL v WCHA? I know they are probably younger but sometimes younger is better.

Lucia can hire who he wants - if he thinks Hastings is the best hire, fine. However, I think it is a plus for a program that has a history/tradition of success to have a coaching staff that has a direct link to that history/tradition. I think it helps in recruiting and on ice/behind the bench. I believes this leads to the "family" atmosphere that recruits/former players bring up when they speak about our favorite team. Everything else being equal, it gives our staff a plus to be able to speak first hand about the history of our program to recruits. I have talked to some our recruits and they all bring this up.

A scout I talked to that saw Olsen/McW play said that Olsen>McW.

The team also needs to make plans to bring one more D in. My bet is Fienhage.

We subtracted 18 goals from JT and another 13 from Porter - only Vande and Kozek picked up the slack, the freshmen did not. The opposition had fewer guys to key on last year vs. 06-07 and Duncs received most of the attention.
