I am curious why you expect the same thing from UNH? I dont know a lot about what happened but did they fight or something?
He was arrested along with Michael Radja of New Hampshire.

This thread is worthless.......unless I know what he did.
On a completely unrelated note: anyone know why i started to get logged out when i leave the site?
He was arrested. Or can't I say that?

Of course, NDSU didn't offer him a scholarship, but don't let facts get in the way of a good smackfest.
I'm sorry, but you've just made my point for me.
-
That makes sense. Some guys just show up for the first day of practice, like Rudy. Rudy wasn't a preferred walk-on.
-
According to a post by what I consider a very credible poster on the wisconsin sports network board, WR Jon Heimler (6-3, 189) from Menomonie is still deciding between UND and a preferred walk-on invite from Wisconsin.
Can you explain to me what a "preferred walk-on" is? How does it differ from a "walk-on"? I heard it for the first time a year ago.
-
I think he was referring to being in the lead for best post of the year 12 hours into the year.
Thank you. I guess it went over his head.
-
It's nice to be in the lead 12 hours into the year!

Look at that snow! Wonder if Stafford and Crosby will grab a shovel during the intermissions?

Shawn-O, haven't you learned by now? If there is a chance that UND and NDSU are going after the same kid, as was the case with Cavil, and he picks UND, the bison playbook calls for their fans to whine with any of the following:
1. We didn't actually offer him a scholarship.
2. His dad played at UND.
3. He was guranteed playing time, something we couldn't offer at ndsu because we're 7 deep at tailback.
4. Dressler was too small.
5. We didn't want him anyway, why would a player choose a school that won't be playoff eligible for five years? (see: Mays, Walker, Dragosavich, et al)
This is just off the top of my head. Please feel free to add to the list.

My list:
1. Tim Tibesar
2. Bubba
3. Mussman

I did notice that. Now, what else should we fix?

Bakken blog:
Thoughts? There's not much question that the shooting and the margins of victory aren't what we're used to seeing.
I can't quite put my finger on it. They seem lethargic at times. Not getting back defensively is inexcusable. Not enough emotion? They really miss Maffin and Jahner, and I don't really see anyone filling their leadership void. Guinn seems unsure of herself and almost tentative. She just needs to cut loose and realize how much ability she has. Karla Beck seems to have taken a step backward Langen and Kimbrough seem solid as usual. Seems strange to be talking about an undefeated team this way but I see red flags that are going to present themselves at the end of the season.

Dubay was just talking about it on the radio today at 11:30. He said he had heard the rumors from some decent sources, but that there was nothing concrete at this time. He was very concerened.

With a probable recruiting budget of about $100, Mayville State again found two or three really good players in the off season. The Sioux had all they could handle tonight. Little and Youmans were both huge again.
On an unrelated note, I saw Travis Mertens at the game. I believe he's been at two or three UND games so far this year.
I was thinking the exact same thing. How is it that Mayville State is able to find a couple of guys each year that can play like that? They had 2, possibly 3 guys that could play for the Sioux. If you add those three guys to UND's roster and remove Hoy (I'm sorry, he's not good) and Josh Doyle, you would have a team that could go 9-10 deep with very little drop-off.
I didn't see Travis Mertens, but my unrelated note for the night is this: For the love of God, please keep the ball boys from shooting baskets during every single stoppage in play. It is unbelievable. It couldn't look more tacky, then to have four kids out there shooting baskets during timeouts. And then a full-court game at halftime? There is no way I'm the only person who thinks this. Please UND, put an end to this.

Of the players on the current roster, how many become Full-Rides? Is it safe to assume that all of this year's recruits are full rides? If they have 63 scholarships, and they use 20 on this year's class, how are the other 43 divided up?

Time to do away with the Huskies nickname and logo. It is well documented that this kind of behavior stems from the nickname and logo. By the way, whatever happened to our good friend Dr. Saigo?

Apparently Mr. Marks of the Heraldo didn't do his homework.

It's early, but Lennon with a thick wad of scholarships, Christmas has come early.

Sorry, no link to provide at this point but he spent a considerable amount of time on it this afternoon at his weekly press briefing. He said he wants to start communicating with the tribes as soon as possible.
-
He took a very strong stance today on working to promote the positives surrounding the nickname and logo. He feels like he and the hockey program have been quiet for too long. Very impressive. This nickname is not gone yet.

I've got bets going on this weekend..... So um yepp, kinda nervous...
Oh also... Thinking of making posters for the games. Any clever ideas??

Anyone else notice the extreme volume difference between the commercials & live action and a weird buzzing every few minutes?
Yes. It's quite shocking. I also noticed that Dave Hakstol looks a lot like Dane Jackson.
-
I really hope they aren't considering adding Crisp. Very weak, slap hitter.

Sorry, not the case. His probation was for one year. Nothing to do with turning 21, which he did a couple of weeks ago.
