  1. another penalty on Mankato... tripping, we keep the puck so it's a delayed penalty 5 on 3 for :40
  2. Penalty... Kato, RJ Linder (sp?) Let's go power play... gotta get this going this year! Obstruction tripping Sounds like so far in the game we are getting some shots on goal. By the way, I'm listening to the real radio not the feed through the internet... so I'm ahead of most of the rest of you... let me know if you want me to slow down my posts because it's giving the suspense away for you
  3. Watkins, Poter, Genoway the starting line... I love that our defender turned forward (I'm aware he used to play forward) is starting
  4. Anderson is the ref... little (?) Shepherd is a line person or whatever they are called
  5. Hopefully your birthday present is a Sioux win!
  6. Haha... Duncan just said that the Mankato fans make their arena a hostile environment...
  7. Anyone know who the refs are in the other game? Can we narrow it down to figure out who we're gonna have?
  8. Man! I wish we started at 7:07 instead of 7:37, then (hopefully) we'd be winning by now!
  9. Based on last year and last week... I'm gonna guess yes
  10. I also notice that Chorney and Lee aren't on the same line tonight...
  11. During the coaches show they were talking about a game in Mankato where Denver was up 7-1 and then ended up losing 8-7... does anyone know when that was? I was telling one of my friends about it and so now I'm interested...

    TJ's hit

TJ's hit Nevermind the article about our losses... the picture is GREAT!!!
  13. So being bored like I am, I decided to check out Mankato for next weekend. I was looking over their box scores from this weekend and noticed something weird... Check out the officals: UND Friday box score Referee:Don Adam,Brad Albers Mankato Saturday box score Referee: Brad Albers I wish I knew how to be in two places at once.... Are there seriously two Albers(s)... cuz that would suck!
  14. Well I wasn't really paying attention until Hak walked up, and then they left... sorry... haha... just check out the bench during warm ups

    Four Refs

I was just wondering if anyone knew why they decided to use four refs last night. I thinks it's like new NHL rules or something like that... and that they tried it out during the exhibition game, but why randomly in the third series of the season are we switching from three refs to four refs...
  16. So I'm sitting here at work in the Union, not really doing much of anything and then Coach Hak walks right past me to a kid sitting on the couch watching tv. Apparently we have another recruit in town tonight. Hak asked how they did last night and he said that they lost. I didn't get the chance to read his entire jacket but it was black with white writing (like that helps) and said Elite in the largest font with a few words above and below it. He was tall, but not huge, about the same heigh as Hak. Dark hair, short, kinda a buzz cut. Any ideas who?
  17. I know it is a young team... we were also a young team last year too. With the combination of graduation and early departures, I feel like we will always be a young team. And even though we (and other teams) may be young... they boys started playing hockey when they were really young... I'd venture out and guess that many of our players have been playing for more than ten years. I realize that the transition between juniors/high school/where ever else and the WCHA/NCAA is huge... totally just lost my train of thought, there was going to be a but after that, but I think I might have ruined my own point or I just forgot what my point was... Either way, LET'S GO SIOUX! Pick it up tonight boys
  18. I have a feeling (or at least I hope) that tonight will be a VERY different game than last night! We should be hungry tonight, get embarrassed is one thing, but getting embarrassed at home is a whole different thing. Hopefully one of th captains stepped up and said something, although after last night, I'm not sure anything needed to be said. We can't keep using the "we're young" reasoning forever, because chances are that we are always going to be young. If there ever was a time for the entire team to step up, now would be it. I vote we put last night behind us and start to think about tonight... let's get out there and get on them early. Don't give up and don't let up! We have to get on them early and keep fighting, don't take ourself out of the game.
  19. I didn't think what she told me sounded right, but I wasn't gonna keep asking because at that point in time I was still pretty pissed about the game...
  20. My suitemate saw Toews last night out to eat after the game. When I asked her about his arm she looked at me confused and said this his arm appeared fine but he was limping on his left (?) leg...
  21. Or we could wait until tonight's game, check out the bench during warm ups and see if we can figure it out
  22. There is a bit more on Hextall's commitment in today's Herald Hextall discusses UND commitment
