Fourth down, Sioux going for a FG 4:15 left in the first quarter No good, plenty of distance but wide right

You forgot the overrated chant with over four minutes left in a Fri night game..... I may be from Madison, but I can happily say that win, lose, or draw tonight, at least I get to leave afterward. I cannot imagine going to school here. While the students are having fun they just sound so stupid! PS I hope we wear black tonight as well!

I agree with this. I was also at the game. I have not read many of the posts on here but we did not play that bad... I just don't think we played Fighting Sioux Hockey... we played Badger hockey. We need to control the tempo of the game from the get go. At the beginning of the game they weren't even counting our shots (for whatever reason) but by the third period they seemed to be double for every one shot... it was interesting. The Badger fans were LATE!!! WOW! Half the student section was empty until the second period. As far as Turris, I don't remember seeing him on the ice that much... I think he got an assist... but his play didn't stand out to me. Randomly during the Badger introductions they announced that the freshman goalie was starting, he didn't. I thought that was weird. Decent number of Sioux fans and a fair number of the typical d-bag home team fans. It still makes me VERY nervous to have Lapoint and Marto on the same line.... not sure why, just does. I was sad to see that after all I heard Davidson didn't get to make the trip. I was surprised to read that Radke also did not make the trip. I expect to see Forney and Miller in the lineup tomorrow. This is getting kinda long, but I feel like on the power play we need to try and stop setting each other up and if the lanes are open just shoot it yourself. Hopefully we play more our style of hockey tomorrow because I think we could easily outskate, outplay, and dominate the Badgers.

I love it!!! My family is going to a Blackhawks game over winter break... perhaps I'll have to get one for myself
-
That guy is annoying like none other! You'd think they could remember the words "let's go red" because that's all any of their cheers are, just different tempos but apparently they need someone to remind them of the words.

Not sure what kind of place you're looking for but the Nitty Gritty is a crowd favorite. Happily dubbed as the closest resturant to the Kohl Center. Depending on how far you want to go State Street offers a HUGE variety of stores/resturants. Although you should be warned that some of the people on State Street are sketchy. This past summer there was not only a murder, but a young woman was also kidnapped and killed after a night of partying. I'll see what else I can come up with...

I'm flying home tonight! Pretty much my whole family will be at the games this weekend... grandparents, parents, brother, aunt, and myselft... all decked out in Sioux clothing too Not bad for a family mainly from Madison
-
Because you know there will be a "racist mascot" chat by the students you could make a sign that says "Have no mascot!" or something like that.... Or having been raised in Wisconsin, I know that if the Badgers score five goals you get free ice cream at Culvers... you could make a sign asking if free ice cream still applies if the Sioux score five goals...

I'm so excited to be going home for this series!!! I hear Davidson will be travelling with the team as well (and that he's very excited about it)

As far as Frattin, I thought there was a point in the Saturday game where it looked like someone landed on his leg and then he put little pressure on it going back to the bench and went down the hallway towards the lockerroom. However after pointing this out to my friends, he came back and played like five minutes later...

I just got woken up by a friend's text message. They were studying in Walsh with a hockey player who says that Grieco quit that team. Also mentioned that Frattin will be out a week. Nothing official and no link, but if true could make for an interesting situtation...

I think that Kuper played VERY well tonight!!! Did a very good job stripping the ball from Cutler

I was at the Union today and noticed a sign that said all student tickets for this weekend's hockey series are sold out. Should be good attendence! Unfortunately I have to go to a work conference and won't be back until Saturday evening so will not be at the Friday game or the football game You should have seen the fit I threw when I found this out.... although we are going out to eat at a sports bar on Sat so I'm gonna find this game on tv if it's the last thing I do!

Was a very fun game to be at. The intensity was great through the third and only increased with overtime. There was a lot more physical play than in past games I've seen. We had a few good chances but our power play could still use some work. Great game for Kirkham once again!

Off to the women's game... (with my radio) let's go boys!!!! Teslak with a big save on Kaip
