  1. Exactly as I predicted in an earlier post on this thread, we can have a civil discussion till "THETRIOUXPER" and the other little kids come in and start call people names. Classy.

Why does this not bother anyone else?

Why is he able to keep disrupting threads without anyone saying anything?

Lives, I think I speak for quite a few people when I say THETRIOUXPER is probably only like 14, so don't be too offended by what he/or she says.

I think others will start coming on and realizing that what he is saying is childish and if it keeps up a moderator will come in and take a look at it.

  2. Moorhead easily has more talent than South this year. However, South is very deep and has great goaltending. This should be a close game. The South-Moorhead games have gone back and forth between South winning by a goal or Moorhead winning by about eight.

The trend in youth hockey indicates that South will have some very good hockey teams for the next several years. It will be interesting to see what happens when the new HS opens.

Not agreeing or disagreeing, I am just wondering if you could explain your definition of "very deep".

  3. It goes siouxyeahyeah, then Sioux Yeah Yeah, then sioux ya ya. Just to clear things up. On a diffrent note, Red River plays EGF at the Civic center tonight, in EGF. It should be a good game, cant wait to go see it.

I would have expect Siouxyaya or what ever to be one of the last names people would be fighting over. I for one didn't think when I say Siouxyaya, "Wow I have to get a name just like that because it is so creative". If I was the original maker of that name I wouldn't be mad. I would be stunned that anyone else would want a name like that.

  4. Russel Crary as a sophmore who leads RR in scoring. He is a very good athelete and it is awsome seeing him out there with Eric Meland and Andrew Vigen all working together. That line will be one of the best this season especially with there awsome defenders. Pat Arnason is a great goalie though I think he would love to have those goals back against WF. Cant wait to see what this line can do against EGF Tuesday in EGF.

Let's talk about players that actually score on legit teams. Alex hooey 2 goals against WB I read on the forum website. let's weigh it out, 2 agianst WBL or 3 against shanley?

  5. The reason I am saying that South is in a league of their own is based on how they have played earlier in the year. If you look at the schedules Red River killed Wahpeton, Shanley, Crookston, Jamestown, and played a tight game at home with West Fargo. On the other hand South beat GPR 6-2, North 9-3, even White Bear Lake a top 10 Minnesota team 5-1. So until Red River impresses me with by beating a quality team, I will rate South in a league of their own.

What do you mean RR beat these 4 perinial powers: Shanley, Wahpeton, J-town, Crookston. Then they ran into a team that figures to be batlling these teams out for the title of "worst team in the tri-state area" and they took home a solid 3-2 third period come back win against the WF packers. Come on how do you not think RR is the best team in ND and maybe Minnesota?

  6. I think it will be south and RR in the championship game this year for sure. It will be close between the other teams but i feel RR and South. I think RR will pull it off with Eric Meland and Russel Crary comming out big in the game with defensemen Ryan Ladouceur and Jarret Galbreath backing them up. Remember this is just my opinion and im not saying South will get beat because they are a very talented team so you can bash my thoughts but it probably wont change them.

I think if they play like they did against WF they will probably have a good shot at winning the state championship. I think people are forgetting how good WF is and esspecially on the road.

  7. Simo quit the team because of Central coach Bina I guess Simo didnt like him to much. Ive heard rumors going around that either he will transfer to RR to play or something about going to the Jets. That is all I know for now but I will keep you posted when I hear more.

Hum? well he wasn't able to hop on with the jets before the season, but now after he has served a suspension and decided to quit his team he is suddenly appealling to the jets this doesn't make much sense to me?

I think we can put that rumor to rest.

North let in nine tonight I hear. O whata shock.

  8. North vs. GFC recap:

North won the game 3-1 with goals coming from Bekkedahl, LaBounty, and Kost. This game was very chippy, scrappy, messy, you name it. There were multiple penalties after the whistle and a lot of unintelligent penalties from a few GFC boys. The first period was definately the best period of this event. To me it looked like North started off rollin pretty good in the first period. The Bombenger, Klein, Bekkedahl line looked very solid and provided multiple scoring oppourtunities for the Spartans. The game seemed to completely drop off the table after the first period. Both teams seemed to lose intensity and both teams started to play considerably worse than the first period. North had a long 5 on 3 and 5 on 4 at the end of the second period and Central killed both of them off. North's powerplay definately did not have its best night. On their powerplay it seemed like everyone was trying to rush passes, shots and so on. Ness played very well. He made big saves when he needed to and helped Central stay in the game. North could have ran the score up maybe a few more goals if they would have finished on their chances. Central got quite a few penalties after the whistle and initiated a few scrums after the whistles. Central looked very undiscipline and that could possibly because of a lack of some leadership because, from what I have heard, Alex Simonson quit the team. Overall, it was another nice win for North, especially in Grand Forks. If North had buried more of their chances we would have seem a little more gap between the teams in scoring, but a good goaltender in Ness helped control that. North plays South on Saturday. Both teams are undefeated and I hope the North South rivalry is much better than last year.

On another note, GPR and DL play tonight. With all the DL talk I am very curious to see how they do against one of the better teams in the East. I like Grafton in this game with a score of 5-2. Grafton has too much scoring power.

    DL over G-town 11-9

  9. I was at the North/Central game last night.... And the conclusion I've come to is that ALL refs are just RETARDED!!! There were so many fricken penalties, and the refs just kept blowing the whistle, I felt like I was watching a football game on ice!! The refs were calling the littlest things too, while letting the obvious ones slip away!! Seriously, read a rulebook guys!

Anyways, to the guy who asked if North was good or the state was bad.... It's the beginning of the season dude, let the teams play some games before judging who's good or bad. Just saying. It's only been like 4 games or somethin like that. Let's worry in like January after watching the teams...

But yeah in conclusion to the North/Central game last night..... Central was taking way too many penalties, both teams were taking dumb penalties, both teams were pulling dumb moves, the parents and fans get way too into the game, and refs are stupid... And 2 of the Central guys got kicked out, and their coaches don't really pay attention to anything. My brother like hurt the Central goalie and you could clearly see he was in pain, and the coaches didn't even notice anything till the refs stopped the game to ask if he was ok... And after the Central guys got kicked out, the coaches looked really confused so one of them finally went after them lol

Oh yeah, some of the Central students went and stood behind North's bench and the penalty box is right next to it, and the announcer says "Security guard to the penalty box please" and those guys ran like pansies to get away from there. Dude, the Purpur doesn't even have security guards haha! And some kid yelled "We want Shepherd!" Thought that was pretty funny too!! Oh and did anyone know that Lee Marvin is one of the coaches for Central?? And some guy who looked like Chris Porter was driving the zamboni lol

OK, end rant..... GO FIGHTING SIOUX!!! SWEEP THE BADGERS!!

The refs are retarded for doing what they are told to do? Do you think they made the rules?

  10. A team that has 1 loss through 35% of their season isn't good enough for you? They beat and tied an unranked team in Mankato. Mankato isn't nearly as bad as you seem to think they are. Who cares that they are unranked, does it really matter? Being in the bottom half of the WCHA isn't great, but it would get you near the top of a lot of other things. So when a top team "struggles" against an unranked team, yet still wins, they should drop in the polls? That's an insane comment to make. The Facts are the Facts.

Since when are opinions right or wrong? Grow up and stop with the personal attacks. He say Minn didn't play well and thats his opinion. My opinion is they are the best team in the country and that Mankato just played well last weekend. Thats my opinion.

Stop critizing other posters on their opinions, this is a discussion board opinions are welcome.

  11. No one here will attack you because of your opinion of Brian Lee. You might be attacked because you have no idea what you are talking about however. From what I see you and lives-to-play-withhimself are two of the most misinformed poster's on this board lately. No need to rely on the expert's, people who get paid to evaluate up and coming talent, we have you and lives to tell us who is going to be a "superstar" and who is not.

Thank you for proving my point.

I have no I idea what I'm talking about, when I am sharing my opinion of a future event (Brian Lee's NHL career)?

How can someone's opinion of a future event be wrong until the event actually happens? Ponder that one Socrates.

  12. I can't believe I'm about to say this but here goes. bucky and slappy are like 1000 times cooler than lives-to-play, and way more credible as well. Man you got some kind of chip on your shoulder. It's easy to be a fan of the so called "superstar's", but ask any one of them and they will tell you without the rest of the guy's on the team doing what they do they wouldn't be "superstar's." There are alot of role players at all level's of all sport's that don't ever reach "superstar" status, but go out and play every shift, every game, and just do what they have to do.

I think what he is trying to do is insight alittle reality into this board instead of this constant love-fest. I don't think live's or any of the other people that actually say what they have on their mind have said anything bad about role players.

Your way worse then Lives, all you ever post is stuff that doesn't even pertain to what other people say. Someone will say something like I don't think he is going to be a good NHL player. THEN, you will come back and say so everyone that doesn't play in NHL sucks.

Just look at your last post, Lives was talking about Lee not becoming a superstar like #9 draft picks are expected to become, and how someone said Greene Commodore and Smaby are all world and thats what Lee should shoot to become. Then you came back with this Whack post about how teams need role players? No one has said those players are bad. No one has said Lee is bad. They said they aren't stars and that Lee has along way to go before he can play in the NHL.

Well I realize I just critizied "THETRIOUXPER" ERR. I'm probably next on the list of people to attack because they don't think Lee is going to become an NHL stand out.

  13. East in Decending order:

    9. Shanley: Ouch!

8/7. Whapeton/WF: This could go either way. I expect these teams to split. WF really fell off from last year. Neither teams have any talent.

    6. North: The Red-River/North and South/North games could be interesting and by interesting I mean blow-outs. Shaky goaltending and minimal talent.

5.GPR: Shaky goaltending, Average defensmen, Solid upfront.

    4. Central: decent goaltending, talent will come around like always.

    3. DL: Closer to others then they are to South/ Red River. But still the 3rd best team in the east due to the state being down.

    2. Red River: Tough call on this one but goaltending is the difference. Solid players.

    1. South: Tough goalie, Solid players.

Bottom line: The middle fell out of the east from last year. RR and South seem to be the only complete teams. GPR has the horses upfront but they have brutal goaltending. North will come back down to earth when they lose by ten to RR or South. Central will be in there because they have better goaltending then North, GPR, and Whap.

Four teams to state: Central, DL, South, RR

  14. The people who demonstrate at the funerals of soldiers are truly sick and misguided. I would certainly be willing to volunteer to help this fallen soldier and his family receive the dignified funeral they deserve.

This may seem really off the wall but I'm sure people would be more than willing to inflict pain against these protestors. I know I am one who would be willing to spend a night in the slammer so one of my friends/family members could have a proper funeral. I think it is either this or the protesters get some significant jail time because all they are trying to do is stir the pot. I know one thing though if I ever see someone protesting a funeral they are going to be physically hurt by me and they will not be able to protest again.

    This is flat out unexepable.

  15. Sean Deichert is off to a great start and he probably had a lot better junior year campaign, in relation to Everson. Just a thought...

Yes he was very solid last year, and seems to be even better this year. The fact is there are very few quality goaltenders this year. It is nice to see atleast one goalie has a good shot at playing after high school.

  16. Bis high just beat hazen 3-0. They only had scored 1 goal untill midway through the 3rd. The hazen goalie was amazing. Does this show Hazen Beulah as a contender, or was bis high exposed?

Yea bismarck high was exposed in their shut-out win. Now everyone knows that they have good goaltending and average forwards. O'wait we already knew that.

  17. What I meant was Muehler will be the best player on Team USA this year as an 18 year old. Maybe the best forward in the tournement.

He has big shoes to fill and as of right now he is showing no signs of being able to fill them. You look at other top ten picks of recent years: Kovlachuck, Spezza, Stahl, Vanek, Nash, Lupul, Bouchard ,Gaborik, Heatly, DiPietro, Ovechkin, Malkin, Crosby, Pouliot. These are the players Ottawa expects him to become, not a Smaby or Greene or a Commodore.

No one is on here saying we don't want Brian to become an NHL star. We are staying that we don't see that happening.

Thats a good point. That is what top ten picks are expected to become, and apparently Mike Commodore and Matt Greene are stand outs in the NHL now along with Matt Smaby. When did this happen? I didn't see Greene play at all in the playoffs last year? and Smaby isn't even in the NHL. Muehler is a stud.
