I think that everyone on this board needs to realize, some more than others, that the season stats and scores go out the window when we hit the playoffs! Does anyone remember a little team called Bemidiji St last year almost upsetting Denver and going two years back having the complete package team and losing to by one goal to Denver. The playoffs are a whole differnt package, confidence and team work will win titles. I will bet on this board that Wisconsin does not win it all this year, Minney has a chance but needs to stay focused, seems a few players let a goal or two go straight to their head, and as far as UND we need to go into Denver win Friday with same finesse as this past weekend and do it again on Saturday. We have the goaltending that it takes to win a national title, the question is do we have the 'team', after watching this weekend we very well could. We lost early on to some the best teams in the WCHA as we should have, we skated at least 10 freshman against everyone. To compare games that were played in November to how we will do in March is foolish. This is a young team full of talent, that once hits its stride will put the hurt on any team. This weekend's series will tell the tale of how far the Sioux have come.

Yeah it's something crunchy and cold

Check your link, but that was 2004, I thought last year was 2005, just me though!

Yeah I had to many beers at the blue line club to remember that they pulled Isaac half way through the game on Saturday night. I hope that Ziggy does get to play (not for the wrong reasons), I went to school with his older bro, I know a lot of people that would be proad to see him play.

Typical bison fans chasing a carrot on a string

I remember back in november on a cold saturday night at the DECC Sioux were down like two goals. If I remember right we came back and scored like 5 goals in one period. Hate to say it, but UND has Isaac's # figured. I would love to see stats against the Sioux with Isaac in net as far as I can remeber the Sioux have won every game - not to jinx it, just saying

I love Virg's take on the Sioux - Bison rivalry, though we may never play the bison again - He and the rest of us will never take a likeing to NDSPU!

Perfect fit for those Eastern folks!

Pretty darn pathatic. UNH's new third period song will be 'puff the magic dragon'!

So it was against CC when the Sioux rallyed late to tie the game (thanks) - by far the best game in the new Ralph -
To be a fundamentaly sound tender doesn't refer to the type of goal he is but the basics of goaltending that every tender must have example: Square up with the shooter, stick placement, and knowing your posts and crease - all of which I would say Parise is very sound, whether he flops around well thats a whole differnt ball of wax

Fav goal scorer or scoring line - Tony H. along with Bob J. and Brent B. ( I think he had rockets on his skates). They were incrediable (A little thing called the circus) Fav goalie - Ed B. got his autograph as a kid in Cavalier - great guy Tough guy - Commey like stated earlier; the hair, the fists, and the hits Fav setup guy - bob J. (got his autograph too) Fav team - 2004 Sioux with Parise and Bo - Still can't accept that they lost to Denver in a one goal game! Best Sioux game - CC (I think) game first year of the new Ralph, behind by 2 and came back to tie and I thought win- drunken haze - any help here would be great to refresh my memory, anyway the Ralph was insanely load Fav goal scored - Maine with Stafford's penalty shot, gives me goosebumps -
Maybe the reason that the Sioux score more in front of Parise is because the other team has to press so hard to score on him. He is a very fundamently sound tender and has to be beat by getting him out of position, so teams must press harder down low and try to thread the needle to get a goal. This means dropping down a defenseman or playing deep in the offensive zone. Parise is the better of the two right now because he has experience and alot of respect from fans and most of all his teammates. Lams is a great goalie and with a little more time and experience he will be UND's top tender, but not this year. Watching Lam he sometimes falls out of 'square' position with the puck and is quick to drop down - all things that will come with time.

Remembering last years d corp and the offense they put up (don't know any #'s) and looking at this years freshman d corp, you have to expect that offense production is down. These kids are young and still settling in, even if it is the second half of the season. I think that offense will come next year and watch out, these boys could put on a good show (Lee, Jones, Radke, and possibly Chorney-minney-) I agree with the statment that they are still learning to play d at the college level and offense will come with time.

Holding your hand to your ear almost around the whole ice surface is the same as rapping your stick on about 10' of boards??? Both are examples of players 'behaving badly' but their should be a limit to where the celebration stops, or else a player is going to take matters into their own hands and rail one of the gophers(who have no class). Lucia pet's excuses are lame for both incidents, any 'good' coach would not endorse such actions at any level. If you are a gopher fan great, enjoy the success of the team and if you are a player enjoy your record and let it speak for itself.

I love how people feel that if they don't agree with something put something there that they like?? Bar seating draws big bucks, roughly 1000 a seat plus a donation to the Fighting Sioux Club. As far as drink prices, I attend the bar about ever other game and would say that the prices are not that outragous and find it hard to find a place to stand cause there are so many people! I would say leave the bars - I need the mix drinks to deal with the season the Sioux are having- move the students to the corners or ends and get this bickering over with. Everyone that is in the Ralph's lower level is a true fan, whether they scream their head off at games or pay for the scholarships that put the players on the ice, everyone has their part.

I love college hockey and the Sioux and plan to stick it out to the end, no matter how bitter it gets. We still got a fighting chance to move back in to the NCAA playoff picture, we just need to score one more goal a game! I thought the team played very well on Saturday with the exception of a few players. Good defense and some scarry but good goaltending, the offense seemed to be firing some what better on Saturday but ran into some exceptional tending. Sioux need some magic in CC like Sterling and Sertich to miss the bus to the arena.

I thought my predictions were crazy
-
No the Sioux's Dynasty (car) has Lucia pet as the driver and the Sioux players are the passangers!!
-
I was just happy to see Radke give some justice out on the ice, DQ and all. The fight all together is a great moral builder and Hak knows it. He isn't worried about the reprecussions because it is a good sign that the Sioux have started to gel, if this hit would have happened earlier this season, Finley would have skated over and that would have been it - Good things to come out of this UND squad
-
Keep Foyt out off of the ice this weekend, have not been impressed with his play against Minney or Harvard. Really like Alexander , don't know if Hak will play him or just put in Marvin (last game he played, thought he chased people around all night, never really playing the puck) or let Smaby rule the rink all night. Depends on if Hak trys to line match, then Todd may get to skate a little. Seems a little foolish to bring in guys that have only played one or two games this season like Foyt, Alexander, and Marvin-may lack some team chemistry in a already young d-corp.

UND dropping only one or maybe two games in the home streach is not out of the question. They are playing well right now, but their dynasty is in the hands of the Gophs and the 'Ugly birds from CO', they need some devine intervention like the gophs getting swept to move up

Who would UND fans like to see to add Hockey first?

Do you really think that Eades and Lucia pet would go for leaving the WCHA, with UND, Denver, CC and close rival UMD. IMO There would be a huge stink if there was to be a Big ten conference. As far as NDSU - where would the money come from and I think that there great success in college hoops is enough for them!!!! -
Have to agree Minney is in for a wakeup call and Wisconsin is the team. Minney is good, but the Badgers are better and more consistant - not including their hiccup this past weekend. I do have to say that AA should get at least a point out of the Gophs - wishfull thinking!!

Team GP Pts UW 28 44 UMN 28 38 UND 28 38 CC 28 34 Denver 28 28 Mankato 28 24 SCSU 28 22 AA 28 19 MTech 28 19 UMD 28 14 Really enjoyed the what if tool. Results were very interesting to me, thought that Denver will go on a dry streak, Wisconsin would only lose two, UND would only lose one game, and minney dropping one to AA and getting swept up by Wisconsin. UMD would only get one more point and AA and Mankato would split the rest the way I think the telling series will be this coming up weekends games for were the Sioux will end up. Wisconsin needs to step it up and give the Sioux a chance to play catch up with minney. Minney could split with UMD at home if Sandy (and God) can get the team to play I also can see the Badgers sucking the rest the way - it's in their nature in that case Minney may take the conference and give UND a chance at a #2 spot- who knows
