Yah, I didn’t ever get the sense there was much animosity between CC and UND, players and fans alike.

Always liked CC's teams as they brought a lot of skill and skating without the douche-iness of the Gofers.:D

They are really stuck on the number of times that Hunter has transferred and the fact that LJV is a fifth.

They gotta talk about something other than DU getting bottled up by the Sioux.;)

  3. I'd say DU will come out flying tonight after losing in the fashion they did yesterday.  But really, they came out flying last night and really stuck it to UND for the first 20 minutes.  After that, the ice seemed to be tilted in North Dakota's favor.  Withstand DU's barrage in the first 20 minutes, and hopefully your depth allows you opportunities in the second and third period.  I think we will see better defensive effort by both teams tonight.

In some respects he reminds me of Joey Abate from UNO…always up to no good and seems to be at the center of so many scrums.

Yeah, I kind of forgot about that guy but you’re spot on.

Caponi is the player UND has to be aware of out there in terms of dirty hits and such. Can’t stand that guy.

100% agree...have not cared for his style of play since he was a freshman...seems like he's in the middle of every scrum.

I’ve noticed a thing DU does where after they score, they skate by the opposing bench with their sticks raised high in the air. They did this all weekend long when they curb stomped CC and I noticed it again last night. I don’t recall seeing any other team doing that, or am I missing something? I didn’t notice UND do it until after their comeback started. Perhaps turnabout is fair play? Wonder if that ticked the UND bench off a little bit when DU was doing that hence Blake and Berg and I think maybe Jamernik doing it during their third period rally.

Edit: I recall seeing CC’s Noah Laba do it when he scored a pretty breakaway goal for the Tigers in the Saturday game at home in response to DU doing it as well.

Is this DU's version of the Traditional Circle of Sticks? :D -Trademark Dan Hammer

  7. Don't underestimate the importance of defensive zone draws against DU.  I believe their first three goals were a result of winning the faceoff in UND's zone and keeping posession until they could get a shot...Sioux seemed to get better in the last two periods in that respect.

I can’t say if DU has done it in all of their games so far but they certainly did it against CC because I witnessed it. It pissed me off. Bad enough they’ve had their way against us for over a decade, don’t need to be a holes about it on top of that.

DU can’t help it…it’s who they are.;)

  9. As my NCHC subscription renewed today, I did a little research into this season's schedule re: whether or not it's worth it to have NCHC.tv.  The majority of Sioux games in Twin Cities can be seen on Midco Sports channel (1270 in western suburbs); you have to have the Sports Package through Comcast to get the channel.  The BU games were on ESPN+ which is a streaming service.  One game each against Western and DU are on CBS Sports; also part of the aforementioned Comcast Sports package.  That leaves two games each against Miami, St. Cloud, CC, and Omaha plus one game against DU that are ONLY on NCHC.tv.  So that's nine games that are only on NCHC.tv (although the St Cloud games are usually on the Fox 9 Plus channel).  Anyway, nine Sioux games for roughly $100 is not bad, although the production value from non-Midco broadcasts range from mediocre to terrible.(looking at you CC and St Clown)
