Random thought: Could UND use revenue sharing as a way to be competitive in recruiting? For example, could UND directly offer DuPont 250k to play for a season? I’m not saying they would do that but just wondering if that is possible.

Rydell gonna have to sell a lot of Chevrolets to cover that...

I always wonder should UND finally move on from only "traditional" numbers. I like that UND is pretty much the only school that doesn't let players pick any number. But there are times I wonder if a McKenna type wouldn't come to UND because he can't have 72 as his jersey number. You are starting to see players not wearing "traditional" numbers. Just a thought.

The only number McKenna cared about was 700.  Pretty sure he can't wear that number on his jersey.

It’s feels like Jost is one more 1 year deal away from signing an over seas deal.

True...but at least he gets to come to the rink everyday.

Just because he didn't bring the Stanley cup back to Grand Forks doesn't mean much of anything. If you look up where he brought it, you would understand his reasoning for bringing it where he brought it. Carter Rowney didn't bring it back to GF, does that mean he is pissed off at UND?

No it doesn't; but Rowney didn't have 3 chances to bring it back either.  Also, Rowney didn't have a younger brother coming in after him...David Toews played two years at UND and then left for the WHL Brandon Wheat Kings.  My memory isn't great on this but I thought there was some hard feelings after David Toews left UND.  I'm sure there are some historians around that remember better than me.

Trust me, Schloss isn’t oblivious. He just has his opinions. He’s not going state everything about the program to the public. It’s bad journalism and he has been doing this for a long time. He’s not going to risk burning any bridges

Enjoy his stuff but I don't care if I ever hear about the Women's program again.  Did you know UND had a Women's hockey team at one time?;)

I feel like he’s been pouring cold water on this for weeks. A lot of fans just aren’t listening. One of my friends asked me a few weeks ago about our chances with McKenna and I said “ as close to 0% as there is” and the comprehension of what I said did not go through at all.

Hard to believe UND’s current nickname was chosen by a whopping 15,000 people. :silly:

Well that's only because they wouldn't allow the "no nickname" option.

    With 3 to 5 games to go...hopefully 5!

Here is what I came up with

    Goon-166...still has Bouchard and Draisaitl

Shawn O-173...still has McDavid, Draisaitl, Reinhardt, and Bouchard

The Sicatoka-175...still has Draisaitl and Bouchard

Stoney Sioux-185...still has McDavid, Draisaitl, Bouchard, and Forsling

    Blackheart-191...still has Draisaitl and Bouchard

Petey 23-195...still has Daaisaitl, McDavid, Reinhardt, Barkov, and Bouchard

Looks like it is down to Stoney Sioux and Myself

Forsling will need to outscore Barkov and Reinhardt by 10+ over next 3 to 5 games.

Not that it matters too much but I have McDavid as well...

Him and dupont would be a nice package for 2026. Only thing is if he dominates the dub next year he would likely only be a one year player at UND.

We could take him for a year!

Wodon literally can't stop with this argument, he just refuses to back down.  What a horrible take.
How does he suggest we get better atmosphere at neutral sites?  And if he has legit ideas, why haven't they been implemented over the last 15 years?  :D

Maybe Wodon just isn't that smart.

Hockey East also wasn't happy having Notre Dame and was happy to let them leave.

Notre Dame got into Hockey East and immediately started whining about all the travel.  Guess what, most of the Hockey East Teams are nowhere near South Bend, Indiana.  Maybe somebody should have looked at a f*cking map first.
