  1. Would it not make sense for Fox Sports North to purchase rights to games since of the 4 games that are going to be tape delayed (or on Syndication) 3 of them include St. Cloud, Bemidji State and UND? There is a lot of local interest I would think.
  2. Here is the current TV schedule for the Regionals: I don't see how a local entity doesn't pick up the Sioux game. I know for a fact that Midco is not on the ISP list to have access to ESPN360.com. Other online places where you may be able to pick up games: http://www.justin.tv http://www.ustream.tv http://www.livestream.com If anyone gets any other information on how to watch the games, please post here!
  3. I would get a hold of AZSioux, he has DVD videos of the last 5 championship games. AZ is an awesome Sioux Fan!!
  4. I played around and tried to find a scenario where UND would be in St. Cloud's regional. Couldn't do it, we're going to get either BC or Wisconsin....not sure which way to go there as I haven't seen BC at all this year and they are 12-2-1 in their last 15 and haven't lost in their last 8.
  5. Stafford with only 4:33 in ice time tonight for the Sabres....Stafford must really be in the dog house as his playing time continues to decrease...can't go much lower!
  6. My question is who blew the whistle? The ref at the net pointed at the puck indicating a good goal. Are you going to tell me the ref at center ice blew the whistle when he obviously had the worst advantage to determine the whereabouts of the puck?
  7. Hmmmm....don't know what's up w/ my firefox. I can get to the screen with the videos, but nothing will play, regardless of what I select....guess I'm gonna have to keep using the IE tab add-on.
  8. Is it just me, or does this page not work in Firefox? Edit: I do have the IE tab ad-on that I use to see it, but it's inconvenient.
  9. Don't forget Zajac 1g (gwg), 1a in win. Stafford was a -1 with only 8:10 TOI. Toews was also a -1 in his game
  10. Oshie with a goal for St. Louis in the 1st period....also had a hair cut since we saw him in his interview a couple weeks ago.
  11. Hey everyone!! I'm looking for 2 lower level tickets for the 1st round of the WCHA playoffs on March 12, 13 and possibly 14th. I am also looking for 2 Final Five ticket packages if anyone has a couple available. You can email me redfrog@dvl.midco.net or PM me here on the board. THANX!!
  12. IOC to probe celebrations by Canada womens hockey team.

    Pairwise

I figured I'd get the ball rolling on the Pairwise discussion. The hockey nerds gurus love spinning the ungodly amount of possibilities when trying to figure out what the best scenario would be for the Sioux from here on out. I'll start us off. Currently looking at the Pairwise, I was kind of surprised at how bad our TUC record is considering how well we did in non-conference play. Then realizing how dominant the WCHA is this year, all the conference games we've lost have really hurt us. I see 3 comparisons easily within reach of us flipping in our favor, they are: Yale, BC and UNO. In the Yale comparison, we just need to catch them in RPI (.5469 to .5496). Yale has Princeton and Quinnipiac left, 2 teams in the bottom half of their conference. In the BC comparison, we can catch them in TUC as we both have 2 games left against TUC(in the regular season). Go New Hampshire. In the UNO comparison, we can catch them in TUC as we both have 2 games left against TUC(in the regular season). Go Bemidji State? Now, the Bemidji State comparison is one we could flip as well as we would need to catch them in RPI (.5469 to .5529). Probable with a UNO sweep? I also know there is no way we will catch Wisconsin, Miami or Denver in the comparisons. I commented on our TUC record earlier, looking at the current RPI, Merrimack and Mankato are sitting at 28 and 29. If one or both could get a couple of wins here at the end, they could crack the top 25 and become TUC's which would siginificantly help our TUC record. Hope that gets the ball rolling a bit. (Also, does anyone have the link to the Pairwise tool that I think Cornell has where you can enter outcomes of games to get RPI/Pairwise rankings?)
  14. If we sweep and Duluth gets swept by the Gophers, we would be in 4th, ahead of Duluth(tied in points but we would win the tie breaker).
  15. RULES: Anyone can enter. Only 1 entry per person Each night the Sioux play, you are allowed to select 1 Sioux player you think will score a goal. Your player must score or you are eliminated from the competition. If your player scores a goal, you will move on to the next night the Sioux play. You will again select 1 Sioux player you think will score a goal, HOWEVER, you may not select the player you used in the previous round(s) as you can only use each player 1 time, and 1 time only. Again, if your player does not score a goal, you are eliminated. If your player does score a goal, you will again move on to the next night the Sioux play. Last one standing is the SURVIVOR! ***You MUST post your selection by replying to this thread.*** All selections must be in 1/2 hour prior to game time(ex. game time 737p, picks must be in by 700p). We will be using this boards clock as the official clock. If you qualify but miss a game, you are automatically ELIMINATED from the game. If all people are eliminated in the same night, all players that were eligible for that game will carry over to the next Sioux game as though all their players scored the previous night. You are allowed to post "if I make it" picks for a weekend series. For example: Sioux play Fri/Sat. You can make your picks for both games, please post these in the same post. Once your selection is made, you can NOT change it. Be aware of who is dressing and who is not, it is YOUR responsibility to find out! When down to 2 players, each participant must select a different player. Siouxsports.com will be used for all official stats and time keeping. 16. Travis Zajac is easily my favorite player of all, but Toews is easily my 2nd favorite player to watch. I also thought it was going to be tough watching Toews play for Canada, but I found myself yelling "Crush him" when he was skating effortlessly with the puck in the US zone. I also have an observation, hasn't Canada used the formula of role players over talented players in their recent run of World Junior championships? It seems to me that Canada's Olympic team is full of talent and not enough role players, where as the US has the right mixture if role players to go with their high end talent. Thoughts?
  17. Tickets have been sold!
  18. He finished w/ 2 goals, 2 assists and a +2. Zajac 1 goal, 3 assists and a +2 (game winning goal in OT.) They looked GREAT with Zubrus on the line, as 31-9 said, Parise could have had 5 or 6 goals easily in this one.
