Sigh, a tie.... I'd say overall, pretty disappointing Frozen Faceoff weekend. Again. Not sure you can take away a whole lot from this game though. Neither team seemed to be giving a full 100% effort. UND had plenty of opportunities to add to the score though.

That'd be nice. They'd play just like that in the ole WCHA Final Five. Of course, in some of those instances, they really were.

Don't think it really matters what time they play the Friday semifinal game...they still lose the game.

Ice doesn't seem to be the best though. I've seen a lot of players fall on their own. Schmaltz did right at the waning seconds of the 2nd period.

Probably right, which is too bad. Very good player on a very bad team. I really don't know how you couldn't fire Eaves after this season concludes. Firing the assistants didn't work, what's left other than the head coach? They need a change.

Been hit or miss with young commitments. Nick Schmaltz and Kristo panned out. Pelnik, not so much.

What's wrong with having some confidence in the team? I hope UND beats the living !@#$ out of UMD on the scoreboard. Even though every match up has been a close game but I digress. I consider UMD a rival. I love it when UND beats UMD because it shuts up the online fans of the Bulldogs who do nothing but b*tch and whine about UND. Biddco is alright though. Northeastern has made the turnaround without their star forward Kevin Roy lighting up the board all season long. Only has 8G and 12A for 20 Pts so far this season. Bit of a down year for him point wise.

I'm sure Red is thinking just that. Michigan had plenty of opportunities to take command of the conference standings but never did. Listening to the Denver pxp and color commentator talk to each other during intermission. I don't think they realize the mic is hot during their breaks? Mentions how the NCHC brass must've had a huge collective sigh of relief that North Dakota made it to the Frozen Faceoff or they would've lost tons of money. Mentioned the doomsday scenario of DU, CC, Omaha, and Miami making the Faceoff.

Yep. Michigan should've won it but they wet the bed against Ohio State. Quite befitting that it isn't even the best team in that conference that wins the regular season title.
