I don't think what Lammy does is showboating at all. In my opinion it's him showing the ref that he caught the puck and has it. He skates out of the crease to avoid any collisions which understandable since he got plowed the last time he stayed in net after getting the puck against Mankato. I don't know why so many people think the Wheeler jersey pop is so bad. He was virtually in front of his home crowd plus he just got the game winning goal against a huge rival. Under those circumstances I think it's allowable considering how high each teams emotions were.
The Danny Irmen jersey pop in Grand Forks however wasn't classy at all.
We're just gonna have to wait it out seems. And it seems like for at least a couple of days until we find out.
That's all that WDAZ is saying. So there's no reason to keep on discussing until things get announced.
As siouxforeverbaby said, for the radio its 1390. As for TV you might be able to watch the games on channel 23 if Midcontinent pays to syndicate the games live(they have in the past so I'm guessing they will again). If they don't then just maybe FSN North might but I highly doubt they'd do a Michigan/North Dakota game. But FSN North is channel 28.
Doesn't the Fighting Sioux Sports Network(FSSN) pick up the feed and put it through there channel? I remember watching the past regional games through there. The one that comes to my mind is the regional where we played Boston University and Boston College out east and I saw both on T.V. through the FSSN. I even remember watching the regional games against Holy Cross and Denver 2-3 years back.
So according to past experiences wouldn't they be doing it again?
In my opinion I think the game wasn't really close at all. The Gophers dominated the Sioux on 5x5 play and they were skating around our defenseman like they were pylons. It could've been a win if the team kept there emotions in check and didn't commit all those penalties in the first. If we didn't score those two powerplay goals it could've easily been 3-0 gophers.
Should be a great game. Both teams will be ready to play and I think it's gonna be a shootout with our great Fighting Sioux coming out top by a goal or two!
I'm pretty sure Coach Hakstol is making sure that there only focusing on Michigan right now. He's said many times that there taking it at game at a time. And if it's that case then there focus is on Michigan.
Doesn't the Fighting Sioux Sports Network pick up the regional games and feed it onto there channel? I remember watching all past regional games on there including the BU, BC games where we won the Beanpot as well as that loss to a team which I will not say by the score of 1-0.
They still would blame Lee if it was a different defenseman
But really I believe this loss is a learning experience and shows that there are other teams that are playing at the same level as the Sioux. They played pretty much really stupid in the 1st period by committing those stupid penalties. And as Hakstol has always said "keep ourselves out of the box." They sure didn't. Since it seems like the Gophers and Sioux will be placed in the same regional if they do meet up in the 2nd round I think the Sioux will be able to amend for the loss and beat the Gophers.
Congrats to your teams winning. Hopefully the Sioux and I as a fan will be able to have the final laugh at you and the gophers.
So here's to hoping we meet in the regional finals since it seems like we're being placed in the same region.
Thanks Slap Shot, and even though it does suck that we lost, Minnesota deserved to win. They beat us fair and square tonight. And it looks like we might be meeting the gophers real soon cause it looks like we'll be placed in the same regional.
I'm pretty sure that if the situation was the other away around and in front of a huge majority of Sioux fans. They'd probably be doing the sieve chant on Frazee as well. So there's no point in calling the gophers fans at the game classless.
Now doing a "We're still second" chant after losing a game. That'd be classless. Yes you St. Cloud fans
Don't feed the trolls. They'll all leave eventually. And thanks to all the classy gopher fans who've posted on how good of a game this was.
btw do I remember a NDSU football team losing to a bunch of Goldy Gophers who can't play football at all? And I was actually rooting for you!
