Also, I wanted to mention that I agree with the poster who said they were impressed with how Blood stepped up after LaPoint's injury. I agree with you. You really didn't hear his name much but when he was on the ice he was very solid and reliable. Looking forward to seeing him grow as a UND Defenseman .
Really?
No one is saying they won't feel crappy. But if people want to vent there frustration on the loss here then so be it. It's a message board after all.
This loss is a fresh and open wound. We're still Fighting Sioux fans in the end and will support and follow them whether they win or lose.
Duncan, Finley, Kozek, Jones, Watkins, Miller, Martens and Walski:
Thank you for 4 seasons of Fighting Sioux hockey.
Good luck in your endeavors after college. Whether it be to continue playing hockey or starting a career non-hockey related.
Seriously, the people who are complaining about those who are !@#$%ing...DEAL WITH IT. Our team just freaking lost. Don't try and tell people how they should handle a loss. Everyone has there own way.
Wow, Denver played very lethargic that period. Quite a slow and rather boring game. Not impressed at all with Miami even if they are winning right now. There PP seems to be just as horrid as the Sioux's.
Not to overly optimistic about our chances getting out of this regional. It seems as if the Sioux doesn't like to come out to play in tournaments. Hopefully they'll change that when they play UNH.
And with the possibility of then having to play BU....yikes. I'd like to think the Sioux would love to kick there arses for being embarrassed by them earlier in the season but I dunno BU might just be to good.
None the less, I'll be sitting in front of the TV this weekend cheering for the Sioux and hoping for them to surprise me.
GO SIOUX!!
P.S. to Sioux: This would be a great weekend to get the PP and PK back in line!
Ah great, an effective way for the trend of MacNaughton Cup winners to bow out in the first round of the tournament to continue.
If we get past UNH and BU. I'd be humbly surprised.
While I'd like the UMD to win, if it ruins our chances of being in the Minneapolis Regional then I gotta hope that DU wins.
I'd like to be able to make the trek to the Twin Cities to watch the Sioux play.
One thing that I can take out of this weekend is that besides BE's guffaw that got UMD it's first goal was after that happened he played pretty solid the rest of the game as well as against Wisconsin. Our D, PP, and PK though.....=/
The feeling I'm having definitely reminds me of how I felt when the Sioux bowed out in the Great Lakes Invitational.
Could also work on trying to remember how to score goals. Just a review session at the very least. It seems like they are trying to revert to the Sioux team that doesn't know how to score goals.
Limping into the NCAA Tournament. Not good.
I sure hope so. Otherwise we might just fizzle out like Minnesota and CC did after winning the MacNaughton Cup and then proceeding to bow out at the Final Five and then lose in the first round of the regional.
It's been needing work for the past month or so. It's embarrassing.
Have we reverted back to not being able to score goals? Our showing this weekend reminds me of the GLI....
It'd sure be great to beat the Badgers today....Like Redwing said let's just play 5 on 5 and 4 on 4
Don't need Stepan(sp?) to score two SH's on the same PP against us again.
GO SIOUX!!
Yeah that would definitely be worse.
But it's 2 years in a row now the Sioux have disappointed and lost in the Final Five to not make the championship game near or on my birthday.
