  1. That's great footage Mrs. Wheeler captured of young Blake though!
  2. Little kid hockey has me out of town that night and forced this issue. 4 Seats lower bowl Section 107, Row Q, Seats 5,6,7,8 (just off the goal line where the Sioux score first and third periods). Best offer takes them! PM me with your offers!
  3. Also using this link you will notice the Editors Pick 3 Stars in the upper right corner, http://www.thehockeynews.com/articles/1102...uture-Blue.html #9 on the list TJ Oshie. #10 on the list David Toews.

No. Lived here nigh on 50 years and I have been thirsty every day.
  5. Probably that Duncan kid. He's too small to play at this level anyway.
  6. OMFG!!!! What the hell is wrong with you people? You are making this forum un-readable! Nobody cares about your opinion of that guy's opinion! If I call you an idiot, how does that affect your life? It shouldn't affect it at all! Everybody who reads this board can log on and call me an idiot, I don't care, it doesn't affect my life! Let's move on! *This post is only a reflection of my thoughts or opinions. If you don't like it, I don't care.
  7. I don't believe so. If I am not mistaken, Carl and his wife have one child, a son named Michael, married to a gal named Linda. According to www.fightingsioux.com hockey player bio, Brad's parents are Karen and Jim Miller.
  8. I agree with you. My poorly conveyed point was that on the internet, too many people think they are Peter Gammons or Chris Mortenson.
  9. Are you kidding me? Jeff Dubay and Redwing77 are the posterchildren behind my post!
  10. Ok, other various thoughts: What compels someone with admittedly limited hockey knowledge to convey their thoughts and analysis of a sport they never played? God, I hate the internet!
  11. I believe he is working in sales. Just saw his name on a list of vendor attendees at a medical conference in Fargo today.
  12. My God, this board has become difficult to read lately. Can everybody please understand that most people will believe a player is leaving when there is an official announcement that they are leaving, and rightfully so. Other than that, if you have some type of inside info that a player is leaving, we're happy for you. I for one do not care what you have heard from anyone. I think most people with a sniff of reality suspected Zajac, Smaby and Stafford would be gone. There still remains a strong possibility that JPar, Spirko, Oshie and Toews could leave before the next season begins. All Sioux fans should realize this. If you think you have inside info on any of these players leaving, feel free to post it here, but please don't get your undies in a bunch if people don't necessarily take your word for it. On a side note, I am glad this board has recently seemed to grab the attention of some younger participants, as all opinions are welcomed here, but is there any chance some of you could try to post a little more like an adult would speak. I am not asking for perfect typing, grammar or anything close to it. Just give those of us born before 1990 a chance to follow along.
  13. SportsDoc, I see so many flaws with this post that it almost leads me to believe that you don't what you are talking about, which flys in the face of other posts I have read from you. First off, the "potential" which, I believe, PCM is referring to is the potential of a player to play at the next level. This "potential" is what the NHL teams base their draft on. Of the players you listed in your first paragraph, most were not even drafted. The highest draft choice you have listed is Matt Jones (3rd round), not 1st round, like the majority of players who leave after 1 or 2 years. And keep in mind that the position of defense does normally take longer to become proficient at because it is not as creative by it's very nature, more experience based. Secondly, not all kids who play in college are brought in to their prospective college programs because they are going to be good professional players, in fact none of them are brought in to college for this reason. The kids are brought in because the college coaches are confident they will be able to fill a role within the college program. Sometimes these players are even asked to play different role in college than they were playing when they were recruited. A good example of this would be a Rory McMahon or Andrew Kozek. These kids were prolific scorers when recruited, but were asked to play a more defensiv/checking style early on in college. Another role college coaches need to fill is scorers. When you have the opportunity to fill these roles with kids who are, or become, high NHL draft picks, the coaches are getting the best possible players to fill the scorer role. There is nothing wrong with that, in my opinion. After these kids do move on to the next level, the adjustment is much larger than most people can even imagine. The speed and size and strength of every player is dramatically increased over what they saw in college or before. That is why you see very few kids able to step from college to the NHL All Star game. The teams want the kids in their farm system so they can better control the kids development. Give many of these kids a couple NHL seasons before you judge them. Let me move on to Travis Zajac, as you did. You claim his "numbers are down this year". I can only assume you are comparing to last year..... GP G A TP PIM 2004-05 U. of North Dakota NCAA 43 17 19 36 16 2005-06 U. of North Dakota NCAA 45 17 27 44 20 Maybe I just don't get it.... Finally, in regards to winning a National Championship. The one thing that many people seem to forget is that only one team can do it every year! It is not that easy, you need many thing to fall in your favor, many, such as puck luck and injuries, you can not control. Sorry for the long-winded rant but I needed to get it off my chest.
  14. I may be interested in buying a copy of some or possibly all of these, if the quality is decent. Let me know.

Does anybody else see the irony in this? A person is more concerned with (scared of) (those are my words) what somebody might think of them, which will not physically hurt them, than they are of the actual physical injury. Doesn't that make them a 'Sally' anyway? I know this type of thought process is prevalent throughout sports, and I think youth is a large reason why. The older you get the less you give a rip what people think of you.

  17. The old line for this is "admire the courage, but question the judgement!"
  18. You're not wearing a pink striped tie are you?, and why do you all of a sudden have a cuddly puppy dog for an avatar?
  19. This is my first post under this name. I have been monitoring this site for quite some time, but much like my opinion regarding talk radio, I listen all the time, but don't think anybody really gives a rat's a$$ about what I have to say, so I never call in. Frankly, if anybody does care about my opinion here, I have a lot of pity for you. For some reason, I feel compelled to post my thoughts about this team, this run, this season. I would have a hard time believing back in October, anybody would have any thought of this team still playing hockey on April 9th 2005. With all the personnel losses and coaching changes and facility issues and, as the season progressed, injury issues, this team faced, they had no right to still be strapping it up tonight. The fact that they competed right up until the very end, and took it at the defending national champs as they did, is a testament to what we have for "weekend entertainment" from October through March....April? I hope anybody reading this post really understands how lucky we are to be witness to the things this program affords us!!
