  1. Since Minnesota will play the 7pm game on Friday, the game that determines who plays them will be 7pm on Thursday. It wouldn't be (and never has been) fair to have a team play 7pm on Thursday, then turn around and play 2pm on Friday. That's always what happened when Minnesota was the 2 or 3 seed going into the Final Five. Since the 4/5 winner would play the #1 team, which the Minnesota Rule pushed to the 2pm game, the play-in winner had to play a game on short rest.

This new schedule of having two quarterfinals is actually better for scheduling, and for the Thursday teams, than the five-team format of the tournament.

Remember how the Gophers were "swept into oblivion" last year? Everyone has to win their way in, and since this is the WCHA I think anything could still happen. Seeding will be done after they know what teams are coming. The #1 Seed will Play Friday night, #2 Friday afternoon, Thurs afternoon game will play Friday afternoon, Thurs night winner will play Friday night.

  2. Also, if Kristo leaves it's not because he stopped attending classes. You put the cart in front of the horse. If Kristo has stopped attending classes, it's because he's already decided to leave.

He could have already dropped most of his classes given the fact that he was in the hospital in St. Paul for half the semester....

  3. I would agree that it might be cheaper to just cab directly from Bloomington to the Xcel rather than take the tram into Mpls. By the time you pay your fair to ride both ways you will have been able to cover that cost in the taxi. Plus it might be less expensive with a group.

  4. Ok-since you might be in St. Paul for the Frozen Four some good places in St. Paul to eat:

Christo's -greek at the Union Depot they have a lunch buffet and regular menu

El torro-mexican on Plato also just added a lunch buffet and this is definately not the type of food you will get in Grand Forks.

    Pazzaluna

    True Thia

I will agree that Chino Latino is good however I have heard its declined recently although if you want something trendy and different its a great option. (and its in Minneapolis) every other one I have listed is St. Paul

Lousiana Cafe on Dale and Selby great for breakfast its not even open for supper.

Red Savoy also has excellent pizza

Trattoria Da Vinci is also excellent for Italian food

  5. We're going to a concert at Roy Wilkins that night so the Eagandale address is most logical, correct? Never been to Joe Sensers, is it gonna be tough to find a spot in there? Advice?

Depending where you are coming from-Roseville location is off Fairview and Hwy 36 about 15-20 mins from downtown St. Paul. Eagan is south of St. Paul off 35 E.
