I'm going to bring the M E D I O C R E ! signs. I just hope the people sitting next to me are all Sioux fans and will hold up the signs. Each letter is a sign. I'll also make and bring a sign that someone else posted, the milk cartons with the east schools logo. I'm coming on Al's bus so hopefully we'll be sitting together. I'm also thinking of making a sign that says "This Sioux's for you CC" for the afternoon game.

After the WCHA tourney I had gotten lots of great ideas.
I saw a T-shirt that said "I'd rather be dead than red" It was a Gopher fan wearing it but Maroon / Red same thing!
Did you all see our signs at the WCHA? Gopher It's what's for Dinner
I'm still mad at DU from the 1999 upset at the Target Center. Got any good ones against them?

No, but had a funny thought. You could take a picture of a Gopher or Goldy or something then put the circle slash over it. Or run over a gopher and take a picture of it and blow it up....I'm cruel, I know.

There was an interview on the Channel 9 last night, I believe Hirsch's quotes are already mentioned, but his teammates referred to wanting him to get better and that they are treating it like a physical injury. I am a mental health professional and to me it clearly was psychological (or drugs). The team was on a gag order up until this week. I do hope the guys gets help doesn't have any future problems but stress is a big thing when it comes to symptoms of mental health and what could be more stressfull to the #1 goal scorer for the team in the NCAA tourney?
I still hate the Gophers but do feel bad for this guy and his family.

So I'm all ready for the big game on Thursday. Got the night off of work and I am all set for the clash between the Sioux and the hated Goofers.... Until an "Oh by the way" comment from the wife that is...
Wife - Don't forget we have Taylor's (daughter) school play next week.
Me - Sure, when is it.
Wife - It's Thursday night at 6:30 pm.
Me - Okay, I look forward to... IT'S WHEN?

Wife - It's next Thursday at 6:30 pm. It should only last a few hours.
Me - You gotta be (*^$% kidding me!!!!!!!
So the wife and I talk about the ABSOLUTE importance of the hockey game. You know, it's a big deal. She tells me that I can miss the school play and that she won't be upset. YEA RIGHT!!!!! Made that mistake before and still hear about it years later.
Gotta take the high road here and miss the game. I can tape it... but it's not nearly as fun watching it.

I bet that the game will be on the radio, you could always bring in a little radio (headphones) and listen to the game with hardly anyone noticing. You'll just have to try to time your cheers with when everyone else is clapping.

Sure would be nice if there was a bus chartered out of the cities, you'd think we could get enough Sioux fans from this area to make the trip work. Anyone have any ideas, leads?

We plan to drive from the cities, I figure its about 10-11 hours. We could have a caravan down to Colombus. I plan to depart St. Paul around noon on Wed the 6th. I also have been getting the runaround from REA, they have lists and are holding out on giving out any tickets until they can see if they can do another charter. Last I heard they were also having trouble finding hotel rooms there.
Anyone thought about Champion Air doing a charter out of MSP?
