  1. Yeah I was checking to see who had news on who has already signed and when we will be seeing them play in the NHL. I am pretty sure Oshie, Chorney and Finely will be done. Maybe others too?

  2. So does anyone know if the FSN will be showing the game in the twin cities area or just the Grand Forks area? I can watch it online if need be but I'd rather watch it on TV somewhere if I can. (then figure out someone to watch the babies)

  3. Congratulations!! I can already tell your a great parent!!

PLEASE, when you take your new Sioux fans to the games, have them wear ear protection. Putting your hands over their ears, doesn't protect their hearing. Not pushing any specific product, just posting this link FYI. :D

Check out the SiouxShop for Sioux baby gear!! It's sooooo cute!

Yes they will need sioux gear and ear protection! Especially the way I cheer!

  4. i say mich and mich state as they know what it takes and you cant discount that. all depends on the brackets i guess. go sioux

    AZSIOUX love the new sig!

I think the gophs are going to choke at least one game this weekend, maybe both. Probably get in some stupid fights and end up with a few more DQs. Do we want to play the Gophs for the play in round??? I have my tickets.

  5. siouxguyinstpau,

we may be playing the gophers for the play in--so hopefully they won't be there this year.

I just had twin babies and they are totally psyched to get to go to their first WCHA final five and cheer on the Fighting Sioux! I have been teaching them the fight song for the past two weeks. ( they are 3 weeks old today)

  6. So...getting back on topic. Is there any new news on Trotter today? All this speculation is killing me!

And does anyone know if there is a web cast, TV coverage or radio of the game this weekend?

  7. Still nothing new about Trotter, they are now saying to check back Thur or Friday and they don't know if he's playing this weekend, but he's on our roster so he's still part of the team. Or something close to that

  8. What happened at UND? The only thing I can remember happening to a DU player at UND in recent years is a Sioux player (Fabian?) laid a huge check behind one of the nets and I believe the DU players' Achilies tenden was torn?

Am I right on this one, or do I have my history mixed up?

Yes that was him, it just looked awefull as he dropped like a wet rag on the ice behind Parise. His achilies tendon was cut by the blade of one of the Sioux players--clean hit just a freak accident.

  9. It sounds like a family matter when Gwoz said "Each of our players have private lives, and I hope people respect their privacy."

I just hope he's OK, I've always liked him as a player...especially after that horrible injury he got at UND a couple years ago.

  10. You might be thinking of Joe Senser's, but I don't believe a UND alum is the owner. I'm sure someone else knows better though.

There's one in Bloomington and one in Roseville...and maybe one other. I have only been to the Bloomington location, and they take great care of that place. You are right, it is always full of Sioux fans, though there are many Gopher fans there as well. The wings are delicious, and a couple years ago they remodeled the place with more/larger tvs and a more open atmosphere.

It seems to be the establishment of choice for UND alum, so I recommend checking it out. In Bloomington basically right on 494, but I can never remember the cross street. Going west, I always look for it on the left.

There are 4 I beleive. One in Roseville, near Hwy 36/35 and Cleveland Ave, Another in Bloomington off 494 and France on American Blvd, one in Eagan off 35E but I can't remember the exit, and a new one I think in Maple Grove, haven't been to that one.

SO if you go to the Bloomington location take the France exit and turn south then take the first light American Blvd to the right and follow the curve and your right there.

  11. Stop, you are insulting siouxguyinstpaul with your cities stereotype.

yeah, and me too! I would NEVER cheer for the gophers. And I live 2 miles from work so I never have to spend too much time in traffic- unless I am going to ND on a Friday! :D
