It was a lot easier than that. I just compared him to Parise and TH clamped it on me as took over. Genoways injury sounds rediculously painful. Glad he's expected back soon for you guys.

More defensively responsible than disciplined I guess. At least compared to the Gophers they seem so. When the Gophers played UW it seemed like the only odd man rush they got was the penalty shot.

The the PWR rankings each teams record vs. TUC (Teams Under Consideration) is compared to the other teams. If AA finishes the season as a TUC (RPI > 0.500) UW, CC and DU will benifit. If they fail to be a TUC and the end of the season the Gophers and UND less then steller record against AA will come off the books. For the Gophers their current record against TUC is: 19-9-1. If AA is not a TUC their record against TUC would be: 19-7-0. Currently the Gophers have as many games against TUCs and Cornell has played games.

Both UW and UM are going to be very good with or without Kessel next year. The Badgers will benifit most by getting him as they will have the scoring depth they are lacking this year (and last year as well.) With the team discipline Eaves has installed I would expect them to have a dominant season. If the Gophers get him I think they will post numbers like the '01-'02 champs offensively, they as usual they will still give up plenty of goals and suffer an inconsistant stretch after the holidays. As March/April approached nobody would want to face them.

He's got one of the most rare natural talents. A goal scorer. A lot of great athletes can learn to hit a ball, shoot a hoop, or run over a linebacker, but even great athletes who choose to play hockey often can't score.

I don't think it will be Denver or CC at the end. It may be wishful thinking but I think the CC will run into someone in a regional that contains Sertich and Sterling and lose a low scoring game. Denver has had some issues defensively the last couple of weeks that I'm hoping is just the tip of the iceburg. DU is explosive though and could easily hide any issues the way the '02 Gophers did.

If Jake is a true player he will also advise Jordan to head south and avoid the whole state of Minnesota on the way. My team will meet yours there and they can each whoop up on a Colorado team to setup another Gophs/Sioux tilt.

It doesn't get much better than this. I'll be blowing of work Thursday PM for some AA quarters and Friday PM for some A semis. I'd love to see either WBL or Moorhead finally get a title.
-
Not really my forte. He is allowed to talk all he wants about him. However you may be onto something. If I can get him to disclose some sort of injury maybe there would be some jail time? Nah, I'll stick with the Kessel-Toews routine.

I don't think that is realistic. The host school has typically made a commitment to the NCAA about revenue. In order to make that commitment they need to be able to sell as many as they can to their base. The '00 regional at Mariucci was very well attended by UND, UW and UM fans. The '02 regional had at least 1000 UND fans for the Ferris game and at least 500 or so tickets went unsold. This they keep announcing there are still over 1500 tickets available, so be prepared on selection Sunday or Monday AM to order your tickets if UND is at Mariucci. Tickets will likely be available for walkups on the first round. If the Gophers and UND are in a quarter final, yes it will be a tough ticket.

UW is very beatable. They would be lower in the standings had the Gophers not choked away the home series' with MTU and AA. If the Gophers and UND are in the play in game, I'm not going to be pleased.

Nice weekend for the Sioux. Sounded like UW slowed the game today to a crawl. Next week the Sioux are in a precarious situation. Sweeping SCSU could drop their RPI below 0.5000. I'd guess they will get dragged back over 0.5000 RPI in the 1st round of the WCHA playoffs though.

UW will win. Come on Sioux.

These guys make make Sonmor sound unbiased.

I suspect it's simply a return jab for the Herald paragraph this AM.
-
I'll call a split. Hopefully I'm wrong in the good direction. Has Earl ever been to the REA? He's never made the trip to Mariucci yet either, so I hope you all can shut him down and get lots of points.
-
I don't see how that would be possible. Nine out of ten Gopher shots would still hit him in the belly, so they would have to practice all day and night to get thirty by him. Honestly though that does sound plausible. Hurt the knee, slam the fist in anger. Truly hurt the hand.

That had to be a depressing school.

I have to post it over there. I always thought Jup had a little thug in him. Good luck stayin up all night with the Sioux!

It's a pretty impressive list: 2004 - Tom Gorowsky 2003 - Nate Dey 2002 - Gino Guyer 2001 - Marty Sertich 2000 - Paul Martin 1999 - Jeff Taffe 1998 - John Pohl 1997 - Aaron Miskovich 1996 - Dave Spehar 1995 - Erik Rasmussen 1994 - Mike Crowley 1993 - Nick Checco 1992 - Brian Bonin 1991 - Darby Hendrickson 1990 - Joe Dziedzic 1989 - Trent Klatt 1988 - Larry Olimb 1987 - Kris Miller 1986 - George Pelawa 1985 - Tom Chorske

I think they could and so could UND if that were a 1st round matchup with Michigan. The problem is that it never seems to work out that way for WCHA teams who face Michigan in Michigan.

Now that's refreshing. Finally someone answers some questions.
