Philpot was not bad. He rushed for a bunch of yards - probably averaged about 5 or 6 per carry. Also, for a while there in the 4th Q, he was connecting on big pass plays. Fortunately for UND, they got some really good bounces today. The turnover margin was unbelievable. Congrats Sioux! Another nail-biter in an incredibly fun season to watch!

Yes, but they still drew 9,000 fans with the game on local TV. Hopefully, the fans who showed will be the die-hard, loud sort.

Looks like the feed today is the WDAZ television feed w. Pat Sweeney. Also, streaming extremely well so far.

I think you are going to see a pretty good road series from UND. Maybe a split, but that's not bad playing in Denver. I like the fact that Blais is backing up his word on playing only those guys who are willing to give it their all in games and practice. That's the only way this team will excel. And, given the mediocre performance of some guys so far, why not give some freshmen a try? The time to set the final roster doesn't come until April.

I heard early this season that Palmo was at the top of the Iron Man competition. If he has been playing well in practice and his conditioning is top notch, he might be a good choice to play at high elevation.

I found out today that Dataflix WILL be webcasting the home playoff games! Also, if you bought a package (I specifically asked about the "Whole year," as that is what I bought), it should be included for no extra cost. The same is true for hockey playoffs next Spring!

The story of Saturday's game: UND resurrected the hustle and forecheck that was missing in Friday's game. They were winning rushes to the puck and acutally getting some offensive cycling going. Overall, a very gutsy win given the loss handed them the night before. If I had to prostidigitate...I'd say this team is capable of reaching the Frozen Four, but only if the young players get better by the end of the season and only if players like Lundbohm & Massen can get it going offensively. Go Sioux!

Sioux are the first team to beat SCSU. Good job! Shots 32-18 tonight. Just as it was evident to me that the Sioux would lose last night, it was clear that they would win tonight. Nice, hard-working win. Brandt excellent in goal.

Thoughts at the 2/3 point. UND has looked like the better team tonight. As evidenced by the large shots differential in the 2nd period. Last night, in the half-game I saw, I thought the opposite. Brandt is a very good goalie. Greene & Jones are great defensemen. Go Sioux.

Of course, if the games were available in CA on TV, I wouldn't be shelling out cash for webcasts either. But for those of us who can't see it any other way, Dataflix is awesome.

I've got Dataflix streaming @ 222 kbps with very little skipping tonight. No complaints from my side.
