  1. This game reminds me of the BC game last year.
  2. Where the hell were the Sioux in the first minute?
  3. Well, then I guess it's a mute point. PS - Jutting is the ugliest coach in the league! Double PS - I've got a cold tonight, and I'm obviously cranky. That is what happens when you start to get old, apparently.
  4. I'm not completely serious. Certainly, they should not take themselves out of tomorrow's game in order to go after the guy. Having said that, he should have a huge target on his back all game tomorrow. No one should be able to get away with running your one-and-only experienced/uninjured goaltender. Moves like that could end UND's season in a hurry. Think what would happen if Phil got hurt = season over.
  5. Totally classless move to run the goalie at the end of the game. I know Hak would not agree (or at least not admit it), but I think Finley or Jones needs to take a nice charge at that boy to start the game tomorrow. Ring his friggen bell! Nice game by the Sioux. Tonight, they had success at playing defense in the 3rd. And, in the end, they put up a bunch of shots in the 3rd, too. UND's specialty this year is ... attack, attack, attack.
  6. Poor period so far. Not attacking. Not connecting on passes. Need to do better.
  7. Like I said. Dunc is just a goon.
  8. A few thoughts now that the video is up: ~Chorney stood up for his teammate well. That is exactly what he should have done, b/c the Mav player was shoving his stick under the fallen body of a Sioux player. ~Duncan is a goon! This game is going to double his PIM's ~This is the Toews we were all hoping to see a little earlier. Oshie & the "Goon" are really flying out there, too. Go Sioux! Don't back off, or the Mav's will sneak back in.
  9. Well, if your team was showing trends of tanking at the end of the season for two years running, you might be inclined to make excuses too!
  10. True, but honestly, UND is a better team than Mankato. When it comes to the playoffs, if UND can't beat 'Kato at home, then they don't deserve to move on.
  11. great showing this weekend against SCSU. For three years running, we Sioux fans have seen underperforming teams turn into Championship contenders at the end of the season. As much as it causes crtiticism (especially because we don't like to have poor home records), Hak has proven that he can move a team forward during the year. Right now, I'd say they look like one of the best teams in the country.
  12. UND is capable of beating anyone. That is what make a game like this so maddening. In the first period, when they were outworking Mankato, they got garbage goals, regular goals, skill goals. In the third period, when 'Kato outworked UND, UND couldn't even hold a two goal lead with 93 seconds to go. Weak.
  13. I remember yelling at the computer screen "Win a faceoff and win the game"! And they did not. Very disappointing to watch them piss away a win in the last 97 seconds. Weak finish. Lucky not to lose this one.
  14. Are you sure? I've met Tom Buning, and seen him speak publicly more than once. While he is a passionate guy, I don't see him as the taunting type.
  15. Sweet night. I had family members from ND calling me after the game. The consensus - 5 X 5 the goofs couldn't even touch UND. And, if the officiating hadn't been so bad.....
  16. Phil doesn't do that anywhere else, so I forgive him.
  17. Sweet Sweep! And Lammy is taunting the crowd again. Not sure if I like that too much, except maybe in Minnesota!
  18. No, because if you do, someone will get a concussion or something!
  19. I remember seeing ESPN show Brandt getting beat to lose the game at UW a few years back. So, why not show UND kicking UM around?
  20. Let's not say the S word until its over, eh folks?
  21. I couldn't get the dang CSTV feed to work for me, but this is a fun period, even on radio! Way to bust out, Oshie.
  22. www.cstv.com is offering the game for $15. I bought it, but I don't yet know if it will work - although the demo worked fine. That is kind of expensive, but cheaper than going out to a bar.
  23. That play was not visible on the webcast completely. All we could see was that Lammy poke-checked the puck away originally, but 3 bodies then crashed into the net, and carried the puck past the line. Whether the net was knocked off first was a question. but it counted.
  24. Nice to see a stick salute after the game tonight. Good lord, we haven't seen much of that this season. Thoughts on the game: Bina is playing awesome hockey. Where did this guy get his offense? Chorney, Oshie, and Toews all looked like major players out there tonight. Good to see. Lammy looked good when he was really needed, like on the breakaway where he kick saved to keep us ahead in the 2nd. Hak's comments: ~Too loose in the first period, but we came back and made some power plays work. ~Our defensemen got caught napping early, but we survived the first ~intensity not the same as last night, but still took a step forward as a team ~Toews and Oshie played with authority tonight ~Bina is playing great - gets pucks through offensively, but Hak likes his defensive play best of all.
