My boys played little guy hockey and I loved it. I was privileged in having parents of like thought on their teams. The only time a parent got involved in how our teams were coached or another team played was once. Our children were being being beat up on the ice with sticks, checking from behind, etc. and the 'home' referee didn't call any penalties on the other team. It was a tournament situation. The dads went to the tournament officials and told them we were pulling our team out of the tournament if the same referee was scheduled for any more of our games. It is NEVER ok for a parent to go up to another coach or parent of an opposing player after a game and read them the riot act. You complain to the organization's officials. DaveK, you went up to the coach and started in on him and you're surprised the parents came to his defense? *shakes head* It sounds like DaveK was the cause of the 'incident'. Doesn't matter how you try to lay blame on the kid and his coach. Had you not approached the coach, the parents would not have been involved. *I miss little guy hockey!!* WOOOOWHOOOOO, we're going to the FROZEN FOUR!!!!!! and the Gopher's aren't!!

My understanding is that the Hobey Baker award is for an exemplary hockey player, not for a hockey player who is or will be in the military. Woke up this moring to find four inches of snow on my car!!! I'm in northern Arizona!! Two days ago it was 70 degrees with 40 mile an hour winds blowing red dust into my pores!! I can't wait to get back to the Mid-west for some nice weather!!

I met a very nice Maine fans in Columbus. They were very complimentary when speaking about our Fighting Sioux hockey program. I too will cheer for the Black Bears UNTIL they play the Sioux!!! Ok, I'm going to watch Chris's game winning goal again!

I think the team is more focused on upholding the tradition that is FIGHTING SIOUX HOCKEY!!! The honor of the WCHA, yeah, ok.

DaveK, no need to explain yourself. Once I learned you're a Gopher fan, all was explained. I get it that you think it's possible to be a Sioux and a Goofy fan. But I see it kinda like a athlete eating healthy and then shooting up with heroin. This is a Sioux sports forum. If I want to be a 'poor sport' because I'm reveling in our win over the Goofs, what better place. If you want to complain about that, you're posts will be better received over at GPL.
