  1. I'm depressed and don't have the energy to go look for the guy's name but remember the new member of the SBoHE? He was a former tribal council member who vehemently opposed the Fighting Sioux name and logo. Once he was on the Board, he supported the name and logo. Today, does he support it or oppose it? This is what we have to look forward to. . . . I'm going back to bed.
  2. I wasn't able to follow the game , but seeing the score makes up for it.!! WOOOOOOHOOOOO, GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Cool! Get me some!! Uhm, please?
  4. At last!!!!! Some good news today. Some one posted that he would not be able to work in the U.S. for FIVE YEARS!! So how long is your season? I may have to go see him play there at least once. Gotta keep my stalking Prpich fan skills sharp!! Oh, and with the lastest news regarding our name and logo, looks like I will never give up a game worn Fighting Sioux jersey.
  5. Al's tortilla soup is very good!
  6. What a great idea!! Leave the only game in town and play who? Canada? Go back to Bisonville and graze, I do not have the patience or inclination to read your drivel today!!
  7. Indians into Medicince, Nursing, Engineering, etc, Elder health care, Diabete prevention/education, 30+ Native American programs already are in place. 'An evening of entertainment' was not to influence but to expose the members to the 'environment' of an athletic event. To show them that no disrespect was exhibited towards Native Americans.
  8. Cr@p!!! I don't care how they spin this, we lost. One million dollars down the toilet!
  9. It seems pretty clear to me that there will be no agreement with any tribe. This settlement may appear to give UND an opportunity to keep the name and logo but in essence all it does is give us three years to comply with the NC$$'s illegal policy. The NC$$ wins. Unacceptable.
  10. No where is it written that we have the RIGHT to not be offended.
  11. I think I was about 7 yrs old and we were on our way to the Brookfield Zoo when my dad was pulled over on Lake Shore Dr. The police officer walked up to the car, my dad handed over his drivers license and some money. The police officer handed the license back and we continued on our way. I don't remember if they said a word to each other! It was 'summertime and the living was easy'.
  12. We're talking Fighting Sioux hockey here! 'Need' is the appropriate word.
  13. Doesn't UND have the names Fighting Sioux and Sioux trademarked?
  14. Sioux'p AND tortilla soup!?! Double whammy, hostile AND abusive. She had to go!
  15. I just heard tonight that an Eagle Air crew, I knew two of them, were killed October 4th near Alamosa, CO on their way to pick up a patient. The pilot had no history of accidents, incidents, etc. in 27 years of flying. Damn......
  16. As a former homecoming float builder assistant, I happen to know what pomming means. Floats were/are made of various materials including paper puffy things called poms. Different colored poms and chicken wire are/were used to make images, etc. on floats.
  17. At least this will be news available to the rest of us. UNLESS, the Judge or the NC$$ decides the information discussed falls under the 'gag rule'??
  18. No you don't! You want to see my daughter-in-law, believe me!!!
  19. Why the glare?? I have his 1954 throwback worn against Northeastern October 2005, I have one of his white home jerseys, and I have two of his garish green jerseys. One has the FF4 patch for 2005-2006.
  20. Seriously, I bet you're referring to my daughter-in-law.
