  1. Thank you to a great group of players and coaches for a great ride all the way to the final game. Hard to lose such quality young men as this group of seniors, thanks for showing everyone what a team that believes in itself, and it's coaches can do. Looking forward to my favorite time of year already, harvest, and the beginning of a new season of Sioux hockey. Here's hoping everyone on this board has a great spring and summer. GO SIOUX!
  2. Our guys are going to light the lamp so many times they'll have to call time to change the goal judges light bulb. Someone please get a picture of the guys at the final buzzer. I want it for my wallpaper.... in my house! Thanks for another great season men. GO SIOUX!
  3. I would love to be in the locker room just before the Sioux take the ice saturday night. Their going to be like a runaway train when the puck drops. All the DU players are going to take punishment, just two much motivation for the men in green. Play 60 min's, bring the hurt, stay out of the box, tape to tape, puck in net. HOIST THE HARDWARE BABY!
  4. Fine job PCM. Emotion drives the physical engine. Emotion+Size+skill= #8!
  5. Yellowdog.... pace yourself, you still have one more gopher loss to deal with.
  6. I nominate Sagard to be the spokesperson for Goofyville!
  7. Well said #1Hak. Great guys like the ones that pull on the Sioux sweater every game are appreciated by many. Nothing better for me than seeing my 7 year old get that grin everytime one of these guys gives an autograph!
  8. The gophers didn't beat the best goalie in college hockey, because he and the rest of his TEAM were busy shutting down Two teams in BU, and BC that each had alot of offensive firepower. And doing it in their backyard. This team has found the heart, the drive, and the motivation it needs at the perfect time of year. Combine that with their strength, and skill, and confidence they now have in each other, man what pleasure to watch. Try to shut down one line, and the next one comes on the ice and smashes right in the mouth. I love it.
  9. Some sweet tape to tape passing out of our zone to the odd man rush should do the trick. Just like they did against UMD in the first round at home. Tape to tape puck in net. The meat grinder they had going last night cycling the puck should wear BC out. Score on the resulting power plays when they start to wear down. Deliver the checks, but stay out of the box. On to the FF!
  10. Hockey fans get emotional. That's what happens when you have a tradition of hanging banners overhead on a regular basis. All is well that ends well!
  11. 11. Grind em' up in the corners, bring it out front and slam it home! 12. A couple of nice "He just gave em a little how's she goin' " would be great!
  12. Thanks NDFlyer, I'm sure I missed this topic elsewhere on the board, but what is the majority opinion. Do the NHL teams go after these guys as soon as they can after the college season ends, and then try to find a spot for them on the farm? Or does no CBA end all of that negotiation also?
  13. I hope Tyler can get himself on the right track. These should be the best years of his young life.
  14. Does this have any connection to the lack of a CBA in the NHL? If so, maybe we can scrap the plans to tackle Matt Greene and chain him to the Ralph after we win #8 in a few weks!
  15. Tough news for a great kid. I can speak for all the people around me in sec. 306. We loved watching you surprise others with your abilities on the ice.... surprise us again. We pray for a full recovery. A couple of people have drawn some comparison to the Bertuzzi incident, and I agree with most of it. But, he at least showed that he felt guilty for what he had done. I don't see that at all with punkovitch! Man Robbie has earned a special spot in our hearts.
  16. That's what I thought. I agree with Sprig, nice "forecheck". This punk is not only dangerous, He's as dumb as a bag of hammers. I remeber how he acted when we played them up here, the pointing, the taunting. Makes me wonder how our guys kept from coming unglued. Kudos to Hak.
  17. Greetings to all the great fans on this board. For my first post I wish the topic was a little more on the happy side of things, but I have a question for anyone that can answer. I missed the action that led up to the cheap hit, but, was there not a delayed penalty against the Sioux? Was Robbie not moving to touch up?
