  1. I don't know, I thought our guys worked hard but the Gophers did play the hardest I've seen them play all year. I know we can't over look Mich, but it loks like it's gonna be another Sioux/Gopher matchup in Denver on Sat night.
  2. I thought we played OK on defense, although Phil did get hung out to dry here and there last night. I'd like to comment on the game, and the Gophers seem to always get the big breaks by WCHA refs in the Final 5. C'mon! 8 penalties, look at the ice time Osh, Towes, Chorney, Lee, Ports all logged last night. If the DOT line could've spent as much time playing even strength as they did on the PK, who knows what would've happened. Heck, they even had Osh and Chorns in the box at the same time. I know we took a few bad ones, but the refs had the deck stacked against us last night it seems. Our guys are no angels, and I'm saying they're not. We spent a lot of time in the box, period. Give the Gophs credit where credit is due. They played a good game and Wheeler stepped up his game all weekend. I've read a lot posts on here today and a lot of fans are saying it was a lucky goal, I say you make your own luck when you go the net hard and never give up on the puck. Now, lets get em on neutral ice with non WCHA refs and see what happens!!
  3. I agree. The Maine fans have all been classy that I talked to. Even after we got dumped by BC in the F4, the Maine fans were respectful to us and gave us congrats on a good year and good run. Bud Light Man from Mankato gets my vote for the best visiting fan this year!! He even drank the Coors Light and took it like the true super hero he is!!!
  4. I agree with PCM. You can play with the numbers all you want, but the bottom line is working hard every shift and making the most out of your PK and PP. It's a no brainer, play Fighting Sioux hockey like we've been doing and we'll be fine!!
  5. There was a bunch of former "Fighting Sioux Scoring" last night in the NHL. WOW!!!!! Bochenski was camped out in front of the net on the PPG he scored on, boy did that goal look familar to me!! Stafford with a couple nice power moves to go hard to the net and pot a pair, looks like Lindy Ruff is getting the most out of Staff and him and Vanek complement each other nicely. Travis Roche got the lone goal for the Coyotes, and ZPar and Zajac hooked up on a good heads up hockey play with ZPar deeking Grahame out of his jock!!! Great to see these guys rockin and rollin in the NHL. And what's on the horizon for us in the future; Osh, JT, Chorns, Ports, they could all be there next year getting their name in lights.
  6. Hey, you get to use the little red shovel one more time!!!!
  7. Buttermilk PCM, Warm Buttermilk oh and a head cheese sandwich!
  8. That a boy ShawnO!! I'll have the game tuned in Firday at 2 and look for you on the jumbotron with a coldie in your hand!!!!
  9. I don't know if we'd have room for you in the little 152 Floater with all of PCMs jock washing equipment and Triouxpers 24 cases of warm Grain Belt along for the ride!!!!!
  10. I bet Fetch already has his tickets for this one!!!
  11. It'll be a hell of a time if they make it to STL. Budweiser plant tour anyone??? How about you? you and kbomb gonna be at the X this weekend? cheer loud and proud for me, would you!!!!!
  12. you're actually going to spend some of that old cream can money of yours and road trip to watch the Sioux? Save the trip for the F4, they're going to be there.
  13. Clark is 5-8 but plays like he's 6-2! He's got a big set on him! I loved it when he lit up Okposo. He was all over that big ice sheet, what a motor he has!! Who w as their other little speed demon guy a few years ago? He was a hell of a player too!
  14. Don't go showing us your Gopher male seeking Gopher male personals photos, it's almost lunch time.
  15. I think you got us confused with Holy Cross maybe.
  16. Lucia breaking down game film from their runaway win against UAA last night!
  17. Hey TR, did they finally take down the Pizza Hut tourney participant banner in the Concrete Center?? And about mikejms bibs, I'm sure they were Dickies Country Boy Deluxe brand with a zipper in the back and built in knee pads!!
  18. I thought only Triouxper knew about my "grow lights". Thanks for blowing my cover, PCM!!!!!
  19. If you get a new perm, you can borrow my "Soul Glow". I still have a few gallons of it left after my high school days.
  20. C'mon PCM tell em about the kipper snacks on soda crackers, pickeled pigs feet and fresh head cheese sandwichs I brought over. Man, they were good!!!!!
  21. Now you like warm Grain Belt, Blatz, and Schlitz Ice Light!!!!
  22. That Sabres program gets the most out of their players, that's for sure. Just think, we have 5 to 6 former Sioux to cheer for and watch in the NHL's eastern conf. right now. There's a chance that one of them might play for Lord Stanley??? The NHL playoffs should be fun to follow this spring.
  23. The slow motion shot from behind the net shows how awsome of a goal it was. No wonder Mike Emerick had to go unload his pants after seeing that goal live!
  24. ZPar sure planted one on Prucha and never gave up on bringing it back up the other way! What passing between Langenbruner, Lucawich,Gomez and then to ZPar for the GWG!! SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was the top 10 play of the night on ESPN Sports Center last night too!
  25. I was watching that game. It was Mich vs Gophs in the Frozen Four I believe. If I'm wrong I'm sure one of the Gophs fans will let me know. Can't remember the year. That was something. I felt sorry for Steve DeBus, the Gophs goalie. He stood on his head that game against a powerhouse Mich team that went on to win the Frozen Four I believe.
