That would be great because it is a meaningless game in the grand sheme of things and I am sure the team is more worried as are we all about Bina. Let the Goofs play a scrimmage for their fans and I guarantee they will even get to see a Gopher goal.

I have a hard time talking smack about a third place game. Add in the factor of a UND spending the night in the hospital and methinks it may be quiet.
But that is just me...I'm a goofball.

A few years ago the Twin Cities got hit with ~8 inches during the FF (2001?) and it went off w/o a problem.

Wow...I didn't hear that Ms Gangelhoff had passed away. What a bum rap she got in that deal. Typical though. She blows the whisle and is the one who takes the blame...Clem and co. get buyouts to leave.

She wasn't kid innocent either. She knowingly wrote papers for the BB players, and even if Clems Haskin asked her to do it it's still wrong. It should also be noted the freshman enrollment time for this study was 1994-1997, there could not be a worse time to measure academics in MN's BB program. Hopefully this will show improvement under Monson, especially if he discontinues the recruitment of primma donna's like Humphries & Rickert.

UND used to have a similar atmosphere on a much smaller scale of course. Words can't even begin to describe how much I miss watching the Sioux football team play outside. I'm glad GF has the Alerus Center for concerts, but it sucks for football.

I'd recommend heading to Collegeville and watching a Johnny game, great atmosphere.
I've been to a UW/MN game at Camp Randall, that is also a great venue and hope to get to a MN/U-MI game in Ann Arbor soon.

I don't see how Don could put Briggs in the line up right now with J.J. playing as good as he is. I think J.J. has earned the right to play at least one more playoff game. But I am sure that other Sioux fans as well as I would welcome #34 back in the line up. UND seems to play well against Briggs.

In yesterday's Pioneer Press The Don said he'd probably play them both this weekend, he's just not sure in which order. Methinks we'll see JJ on Friday and KB on Saturday.

For all the wonderful things (including taking a chance & hiring Herb Brooks) Paul Giel did for the University of Minnesota in my mind his lasting legacy will sadly be the move to the Metrodump.

Sioux are in the NCAAs and can possibly knock the Badgers out by beating them on Thursday if things don't fall Wisconsin's way int he other league playoffs.
